My partner and I spent the weekend here. We loved it! The cabins are cozy and warm and offer a great way to unplug. The campground is close to the state park and offers a great way to see the headwaters of the Mississippi. The family that run the place are so wonderful and nice. We plan to return!

This was a long weekend getaway for my parents, my sister and our spouses. We wanted to explore the Mississippi Headwaters and spend some time visiting. Bert's Cabin's is about as close as you can stay. It is privately owned, but inside the park. The grounds are manicured and it was so quiet and peaceful. The loudest noise was the...

We had a very good time staying at Berts cabins. They were nice cabins, clean and all the necessities for staying were already there for our use. We had our kids with us so having a swimming pool was really nice! We also brought bikes and the kids enjoyed biking around the resort. Berts cabins is right in the state...

The owners are very nice. The view of the cabin is breathtaking. The cabins are clean and rustic looking. Nice swimming pool. They provide a charcoal grill. Best memories made here. Pet friendly. The beds are comfortable.

Wonderful resort, log cabin with heat and AC. Very quiet. Close to everything. Wonderful owners, gave good suggestions on what to see and do. Totally charming atmosphere. Across the road from Itasca State Park. Great value also.

We have only been in cabin #1 for an hour but we love it! Rates are reasonable, scenery is beautiful. This one has 3 bedrooms and 1 bath, kitchen, dining and living room. Rustic but comfortable. Bed linens and kitchen ware are provided. You might want to bring your own towels and washcloths as you only get 1 each per...

The owners are very pleasant and nice. The cabins are quaint and relaxing. The only complaints we had were the soap on the bathroom sink was used so we didn't use it, the "towels" furnished were more the size of a hand towel and thin-so take your own (we were glad we did) and at midnight 2 loud trucks pulled...

My wife and I and a couple of our friends stayed at Bert's just after labor day. We were looking for a dog friendly cabin close to Itasca State Park and couldn't have found anything closer. It is located about 1/2 a mile down the road from the Mississippi headwaters. It is right up next to the state park with...

Bert's Cabin's are one of a kind. They are the only privately owned cabins located inside Itasca State Park. We have a 3, 5, 7, 10 year old and everyone had an awesome time! We brought our bikes and did a ton of biking! The trails are awesome, such a great family vacation. Bert's also has a pool….another bonus with...

This cabin property was excellent, nicely located only a mile from the Mississippi headwaters and on Wilderness Drive for easy access to the trails, Douglas Lodge, bike shop, swimming, all that Itasca State Park has to offer. Though small 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin it was very comfortable and well supplied with all that is needed for a several days...

“We were in Cabin # 7 the entrance to the bathroom of this 2 bedroom was in the other bedroom. It worked out for us with 4 adults and two children but it could be annoying for others. The couch in the living room was a pull out but the family brought an air mattress so it worked out ok for us. We hope to go back next year !”
