This is real paradise. So relaxing, peaceful, quite and romantic place. Just a small island in the ocean. The beach and sea were gorgeous. So many different colors of blue. Underwater world was amazing. We saw different kind of fish every day. There is a reef you can snorkel close to the beach. Baby sharks are swimming close to the...

Small, cosy island, one can cross it in 20 minutes. All outside area covered with sand, so one basically needs a pair of flip-flops occasionally, as most of the time you will spent barefoot. The reef is comfortably close, diving and snorkeling conditions are excellent, and there is a large diving center with many trainers, which offer organized trips every...

Visited for 4 nights at the end of March, 2017. Food was fresh, lots of options. Reef was spectacular, saw huge rays, octopus, baby sharks, many different species of fish. Also managed to do 4 dives with Diverland - a well managed dive outfit with knowledgable, friendly staff and smiling crew ready with tea and coconut after each dive. I...

Island is rustic / basic. The rooms are all terraced, but staggered so feel private and look more attractive. Nicely furnished with modern bathrooms and very clean. It is close to Male, which you can see from the island, but far enough away to still feel you are in the middle of nowhere. There is wifi, but only at reception...

We've been to many islands in the Maldives. They all have great staff and great beaches but Embudu has great food, great house reef for snorkelling and diving and is great value for money. This has become our second home and our reward for working hard at home.

I've been to Bandos (4*) and Kuredu (4,5*). Embudu seems the best for me. Excellent service and food. Lovely house reef easy accesible. Best snorkeling so far. I suggest to choose beach bungalows in first line as they were renovated. 2nd line houses are a bit old and definiately need some maintenance.

First let me say my husband and I holiday in Embudu Village every year so we are considered repeated guests. We have been to many other resorts in the Maldives but none can be compared to Embudu. This resort is small and takes you to walk round it in less than 20 mins. Is also not a 5 star resort...

Stayed here in January 17 only just got around to doing the review now. Can only agree with all the previous reviews. The beds are very noisy and not the most comfortable. A lot of choice on the food but surprised that there was no live pasta station. Chicken Bacon in the morning which was a bit of a disappointment....

Fine hotel on a lovely island. Rather close to Male: only 45 minutes by boat. The food was good with enough variety. Sometimes not hot enough. Staff is friendly, as in all Maldives island that we visited. It is a shame that we sometimes smelled diesel oil from the energy plant on the island. The beds were too hard for...

Embudu is a lovely little island, about 25 minutes by speedboat from the airport and Male. The staff are very friendly and will do everything they can to make you stay as enjoyable as possible. There is one restaurant and one bar so if you are looking for multiple places to eat, swimming pools, air conditioned gyms and lots of...
