Recently renovated, historically correct main floor. Upon late arrival met by owner, served a glass of wine, and were told lengthy but interesting history of house and renovation process. Adequate room, very clean. Breakfast ("continental" for first (only!) night stay) a disaster. Oven issue so no pastry (there is a pastry shop quite close but obviously no back-up plan) so... More

The location was decent, situated just a couple of easy blocks from the downtown, across from the high school. The falls are just behind them, but in the summer we could not see them. There were not views in Patricia's room. The bed was good for sleeping, and the air conditioning in the summer was at a good level. Breakfast... More

Beautiful and peaceful BnB right behind the Lanesboro dam waterfall. We can hear the waterfall from the property and it is right in its backyard! We stayed at the Thompson House, an 1870s Italianate architecture B&B, over Memorial Day weekend and were extremely pleased with our choice. The proprieters, Kathy & Butch, were so warm and lovely and made us feel very comfortable. We stayed in "Millie's Room" which has a jacuzzi tub that worked wonderfully. Breakfast was served at 8:30 and was very good.... More
