Very awful one night only. The mattresses were stained and damp. One smelled of urine. The curtains had old insect nests in the folds, so only noticed when the curtains were drawn. Had I noticed these things before bedtime I would have left. The sticker on the fire extinguisher showed it was last checked in 2004. The boiler is still broken (see reviews from January) and there is only hot water after 6pm and only in one shower (owner instructed me to use the last shower in the block). Everything is either worn or broken. Could really do with proper maintenance and investment.

The location is reasonably close to the beach however you have to negotiate a cowpat strewn field to get there & the 300 metre advertised is fanciful. There was no hot water available on both days we were there because of a 'boiler issue' and the Wifi was for the motel and not available in the motor park. They did not take any rubbish unless you bought a sack from them, but did not take any recyclable. The site was not in anyway scenic and there was even a cowpat in the campground that nobody bothered to lift. Toilets and shower block was clean however unable to access due to hot water problem. There was nobody at reception when we arrived and this set the tone for our stay, not good enough Park management- get your act together.

We arrived here Saturday 13th Feb and are heading away about the 18th. I've read a few reviews on here that are negative., But what you see is what you get. This place has character. Bill Martin is quite an amusing man if you get to converse with him. certain parts of the grounds need a spruce up and the hot water is a bit of an issue but after 6pm you get a hot shower. I went at 5pm and had a warm one. Caravan sites are a generous size. Pets are allowed. The beach is a stroll across farm land and track is well used. Approx 300 metres. Hot food available from caravan opposite shop. We had burgers and chips. Very nice. Diesel is available. Shop has a range of goods including an off licence.ablutions are good. plenty of room in shower cubicles. Showers are free. We are enjoying our stay and if you are open minded you will too. If you want diamond service try the Ritz.

Owner ok but quite direct. Signs in kitchen rude and obnoxious e.g ‘your mother’s not here so clean up after yourself’’. Boiler apparently broken so no hot water until after 6pm - and then the water was tepid. Putrid smell outside ladies bathroom. Nowhere to put rubbish. Not near the beach. On the plus side it’s open and spacious and has a nice outdoorsy/countryside feel but I’m sure that’s a dime a dozen around here. Toilet blocks/kitchen fine (bar the smell outside the ladies).

Have stayed a few times at the holiday park but this was the first time staying in the motel unit. The unit had a very musty smell when we first opened the door. Good sized lounge with 1 double and 2 single beds - very comfy. Lots of spiders and webs in the lounge. Large bathroom but unfortunately the cleanliness was lacking - 2 pubic hairs in the shower, dirty marks on wall by sink and fly dabs on walls. Kitchen was adequate, would be nice if the description on website said what was available as there was only a microwave and an electric frying pan. No hot plate or pots but we made do and it wasn’t really a problem. Nice solid wooden bench seats in front of all the motel rooms which were great and a bbq table at the back too. Bill the owner very friendly and helpful. We will be back.
