Stayed in one of the older units, which was of the standard I expected for this region, at the price. The campground has good shade trees, a shop and average facilities. The beach is a short walk away, but it's of interest for a walk or surfing only. There are signs advertising takeaways and a theatre, but the theatre looks...

Disappointing is how I would describe this holiday park. The entrance driveway looks promising but then you are confronted with disused equipment and an office/shop in what resembles a machinery parking lot. If it were not for the lateness of the day and the fact we needed to hook up to a 240 volt supply, we would have high-tailed it....

Tucked away at the foot of the hills and right next to the beach. This place has a variety of accomodation from self contained units to powered and up powered camp sites. It has a shop with food and alcohol and basic camping and fishing gear and a picture theatre . Bill and the staff will look after you like...

We only stayed here for one night and for us it was worth while. Behind where we camped there was a short walk to a lovely beach which was deserted. It was a bit dreary and the people were not all that friendly but it suited us for a night. I wouldn't plan on staying for more than two nights....

We went to stay here for one night as this is the only park in the area, but when we saw the state of the place, we got back in the camper van and drove on to Gisborne. Rubbish and mess everywhere , and many of the sites were flooded, when you could find what was supposed to be a...

Remote location. Genuine friendly service and local knowledge. Large motel unit. Good shower. Good beds. I look forward to going back! Could easily spend lots of time there. Didn't expect to find this good in Te Araroa.

We stayed at Te Araroa holiday camp last night. Due to an error in booking made by myself. We discovered we had in fact booked our group into the Te Aroha holiday camp. That you can read about on there review page. Any way. The management from Te Araroa went out of there way to ensure that we were accommodated...

Oh dear! We so much wanted to like this place but as we drove in, the general mess and untidiness set alarm bells ringing. We stayed in a motel studio for one night. There are several other options and in reading reviews you need to ensure they are relevant to your needs. The motel rooms are newish and our studio...

This is a very basic holiday park. Our cabin smelled musty and needed airing. We doubled up the mattresses on our double bed and there was only just enough room to sleep. If you are over 6ft (1.83cm) you wouldn't fit here. The water needed to be boiled or filtered. Bathrooms were ok but we could cook in the cabin....
