This hotel was great. We checked in late, it was very clean in the main area and in the rooms, bathroom and floors were clean, and the bed was clean and okay comfy. Would stay here again in a heart beat. The Continental breakfast was just okay don’t let that be a deciding factor for you because it was lame. Staff was just okay friendly and not out of their way friendly.

We had stayed here quite a few years ago and loved it. Unfortunately they have not done any improvements, and in fact taken away the water slide, the hot tub was not functional, and the kiddie pool was filled in. Unfortunately the colors they had painted the rooms and common areas detracted from what was left of the original ambiance of a beautiful building. My interactions with the front desk were not what I was hoping for, to put it nicely. I was hoping to make this a place my family might come back to, but unfortunately it won't be.

We had come up for an overnight vacation. The hotel was on the older side but ok. Had a good lake view and balconies. The hotel had confirmed our reservations a few weeks before we arrived as they thought it was messed up after a half hour conversation we had thought it was straightened out. Well it still was messed up when we arrived. They didn’t seem to have a care in the world. The staff seemed to not be attentive to the needs of the guests . To checkout we rang the bell twice and waited 10 minutes and no one came to the front. This place would be great with a little more MN nice.

This "resort" is comically terrible. i reserved a "suite" I arrived at 5:45. The key card for the door did not work. After some messing around that was fixed and I was able to enter, what I was told to be, one of the nicest rooms in the hotel. Horrible. Beds unmade with dirty linen everywhere. Overflowing trash bin. Empty pizza boxes scattered about. Furniture out of place. I called the desk and eventually the woman who checked me in came up and made one of the beds. She left the old linens and trash in the room (?!). Furniture is barely dorm room quality. Most of the electric outlets do not work. Carpet is worn and filthy. Stale smell permeates the room and, for that matter, the entire hotel. There is a nice view of Pelican Lake (remember I have a suite!). The only problem is that the only place from which to look through the window is sitting on one of the beds. It isn't made so that's a disgusting option. The amazing thing is, the staff do not seem to realize just how substandard this place is.
