My wife and I stayed in room 311 (detention hall) for a short getaway and some fishing. The room itself is fantastic- very spacious, clean, functional kitchenette, QUITE, jacuzzi, etc. The owners went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Preston has everything that you need and it's only. We had a fantastic breakfast at the B&B Bowl (who...

The suites in the old school building are generous in size and the price is fair! The other portion of the inn is your basic motel. It's clean and neat and situated next to bike/hiking trails so it's not far to get away into the countryside. It's a small town Inn so when it's the off season there is not...

This was once a school. Converted into short and long term apartments. If you want to ride the bike trails this is the prime place. The apartments are comfortable but no king beds available. Wife and I had to sleep in separate rooms. They were about the worst we have found on our travels. Sadly we booked for ten days....

Reserved Trailhead Inn based on posted reviews. It was a great place to stay! Perfect location right on the trail. The 2 double bed room we had was excellent, very spacious and clean. As previous reviews noted, the deck was a great place to relax and meet people. I could go on and on, but will just say that we...

In a nutshell: (It was just two of us.) 1. Perfect location for our biking. Right on the trail. 2. Room 311 a/k/a the Honeymoon Suite formerly "Detention Hall" in the old school building: Awesome. Exceeded my expectations. Large, airy, high ceilings, beautiful and a total home away from home. Huge windows, jacuzzi, kitchen with dishes, utensils, pots, table and...

We had an amazing stay at Trailhead inn. We had 23 people in our group, and reserved most of the rooms in the main Tralhead inn building. Rode in on a Thursday evening and found all our rooms very clean, I mean clean, the air was on (it was a hot day in June) nice. It was an added bonus...

We have been staying at the Trailhead Inn for the past 4 years. We love being close to the bike trail and the location of the Trailhead Inn. Our favorite part of the Inn is the outdoor deck. We love the tables and chairs, and it a great place to meet other bikers from around the state. Were making our...

I am from Preston originally, so was familiar with the town and where this was located. I booked this location with my husband and our kids. The space we got was amazing. It was really just like staying in a 2 bedroom apartment for the weekend! Other family members stayed down the hall from us as well. The owners are...

So, we stayed here as a family while taking part in some of the things to do in the area - bike riding, the caves, etc. Don't expect luxury. You'll get decently decorated rooms in a quiet place. It's an old school building that has been converted into hotels. It feels a little odd going downstairs and entering a classroom...

This is quiet, extremely clean, basic rooms done very well, and about 20 yards from the Root River bike route. I strongly recommend it if you are in the area. The inn has two parts, we stayed in the motel-like part which is what I have described here.
