I have been visiting the bluff country of SE Minnesota in the Root River Valley area at least once a year for 22 years and have stayed in B&B's, house rentals, cottages, and mom and pop motels. Typically, I alternate and try many different places - until I discovered this place. For my third consecutive visit, I will be staying...

Just returned from a 2 night stay at the Inn. I rarely write reviews so you can understand I was very impressed. If you enjoy excellent food and friendly inn keepers then this is your place. Who serves dessert with breakfast? Marie does! Chocolate creme brûlée one morning and homemade peach pecan ice cream the other. Rooms were quiet and...

My husband and I have been staying at B&Bs for the past 30+ years. I must put this one among our top three favorite. Beautiful setting, offering a panoramic view of Rushford and the Root River valley. The food was outstanding. In the evening we were offered home made wine, cheeses and crackers with home-made spreads and home-made apple pie!...

If you haven't tried Meadows Inn, you're really missing a great B&B. Beautiful, relaxing, comfortable, exceptional food and hospitality. The Innkeepers, Marie and Doug, love what they do and it shows. Fresh baked cookies, soft drinks, WiFi, early coffee available. The breakfast was absolutely the best we've ever had at a B&B and any room you book is great.

This is an udate from my 2008 review. We have indeed returned in 2009 and 2010 to meet our Iowa friends. Everything just keeps getting better, as now Doug and Marie are more like friends that we look forward to seeing every year. They are so helpful with getting the best out of the area. Marie made a last-minute reservation...

The Meadows Inn is a serene B&B. If you are looking to get away and regenerate your soul, this is a perfect spot. Sit outside and gaze over the town of Rushford. Meditate to the peaceful water fountain. Watch the turkeys stroll by. Smell the flowers. Rushford is a quaint farming village located about 1 hour south of Rochester. This...

We visited this B&B over Memorial Day weekend with friends. We were greeted by the owners and felt very welcomed. It is a beautiful place on the top of a steep gravel driveway. There are a lot of common areas to enjoy the birds, the patio was great. The rooms were nice. They could use a little updating but they...

Doug and Marie have a real gem here. Just up the river from Laneboro and on the fun Root River, we stayed here and had a delightful time - excellent, comfy room with a view, great wildlife, fantastic patio and yard, gracious hosts and fabulous 5star breakfast and weekend afternoon hors douvres/wine. Doug and Marie really care about providing you with...

If you are looking for that perfect place where you can get away from it all but still be close to civilization then consider staying at Meadows Inn B&B in Rushford, MN. It is great for couples or singles alike. One can mingle or have privacy; entirely up to the guest. It was a great way to experience the life...

“The largest room is the one with a window seat and while I said this B&B may not be good for a family, Doug and Marie will bring a rollaway into this room if requested. May be just fine for one child that is perhaps a bit older.”

“Not all rooms have showers so be sure you ask. Ours had a soaking tub with handheld, was a fun diversion from our standard shower.”

“We chose one with french doors opening out to the beautiful view. Our friends had one with a two person jucuzzi.”
