I hv severe medical to molds, 1st room overpowered my lungs. Tamal? Reluctantly gave new room, we touched nothing in either room. Next room worse. A/c at 60 to cover up and reeked of mold and strong old cleaning supplies. Went to front desk had to leave or I’d be in emergency room with toxic mold poisoning. Tamal? Would not refund. I literally gave him my card over phone 20 minutes prior as we were driving there. He said maintenance had to access and tried to say cleaning was perfect. Not the problem it was MOLDY stinky tired rooms. Rude and wouldn’t write on receipt I refused 2 rooms. Literally took 30 mins some people rent rooms for that time and wanted to clarify. He would not acknowledge any dissatisfaction and acted like it smelled like a fresh rainy morning. Run from here quickly don’t look back. I got referred to Abdul tomorrow by previous reviews this is going nowhere. What a shame.

We had a first floor room. The room above us was also occupied. We listened to people above us walk around, loudly, all night long. There is no sound barrier at all. Also, the smell of old cleaning supplies is overpowering and is hard to overcome. They advertise breakfast. There is no breakfast and no lobby coffee. Other hotels we've stayed at, have modified their breakfasts during Covid but none have eliminated it! It was a very weak experience and we'd never recommend this place or stay here again.

Hello there... I am writing to you today because I have been in touch multiple times with Abdul, the manager at your Stillwater, MN Grand Stay location and he has not helped me.  So I hoping you can.    On June 5th I called directly to your Stillwater hotel and made 3 room reservations for Saturday June 26th. I asked for a email confirmation which I never did receive.  The next morning, June 6th I found out we were going to need a 4th room because another couple was joining us. I tried another hotel because we all wanted king size beds and Grand Stay was not able to accommodate that.  After finding rooms at another hotel I called back to Grand Stay Stillwater and canceled the rooms I had reserved.  I never received a cancelation email but honestly thought nothing about it because I never received a confirmation of the original reservation, even though I had requested one.  On Saturday June 26th I received a phone call from Abdul at 11:30 PM asking if we were coming to the hotel.  I told him then that I had cancelled the rooms and we were in Stillwater staying at another hotel.  He told me I was going to have to pay for the rooms because I did not cancel the rooms.  Since then I have been in touch with Abdul multiple times and he has told me there in nothing he can do.  He told me he has talked to the owner and they will not refund my money.  I have been charged somewhere around $700.     I find this absolutely absurd.  I am furious that I trusted these employees to do there job. I called and made the cancelation the day after my reservation was made.  This is not my fault and yet i am being penalized and paying big money for your employees error.  I will start leaving negative feedback with the email attached to all my comments. I truly hope to hear from someone   who will talk to me about this situation and can help me.  I am extremely frustrated and disappointed about this entire transaction. Cocerned customer,  Nicole

Should have known what we were in for. Called the day before arrival requesting a quiet room away from traffic, and were told "you get what you get". If it had not been for a big event in town we would have moved to another hotel. Having stayed at Grandstays before and found them to be good hotels, did not expect this low line hotel. Covid restrictions had been lifted and other hotels on the trip had full breakfasts like normal. This hotel advertised breakfast, but no, closed, not even a to go bag. The drapes would not close, used a clothes hanger with pant clips to shut them. sink would not drain.
