We've had better rooms at a motel 6. Outdated furniture, no refrigerator or microwave and the in-room jacuzzi was so loud you'd need earplugs to sit in it. Our room was right above the hotel bar and it was incredibly loud. Folks at the front desk won't let anyone check in before 4:00 pm. Brides and wedding parties fill the lobby trying to get in a bit early to change clothes. Most hotels would allow people to check in as soon as rooms are available, but not these folks. They don't feel the need to satisfy customers because apparently there's always new customers waiting to fill the rooms due to the location and lack of hotels downtown. Find another place to stay. You'll be glad you did.

I guess they are banking on the fact that they are one of the only hotels in this area. I couldn’t believe what my $400 room looked like. The craftsmanship was terrible. The bed was broken, trim and wallpaper falling off the walls, disgusting caulking, broken tiles, the list goes on… You couldn’t have paid me to get in the whirlpool tub or use the shower. We were planning to eat dinner at the Inn but the restaurant has closed early. After eating elsewhere, we returned for a cocktail, only to find the bar (open until 1 am, according to the sign behind the front desk) had closed several hours early. Honestly, if the price were much, MUCH lower I would have probably shrugged off the lack of charm and cleanliness.

WOW... Terrible. Water Street Inn was one of the worse customer service experiences I have every had from a hospitality standpoint, EVER.... They know they have the location, so providing any other standard hospitality comforts is lost on their staff and management. Front desk was rude and condescending. This hotel feels and acts like a one star hotel. Put some lipstick on a pig, and throw it downtown Stillwater. Sky is the limit.... There are other hotels that are close, give them your business. I thought it was just me... But than I observed this: They went out of their way to not to be kind or helpful. While waiting to check in I observed, a young woman with an infant requested her room check in, which was not ready. Not until 4pm. She inquired about the portable crib for her stay, saying she confirmed it would be an available weeks ago. The front desk stated that it was broken and gave this young woman and her baby no help. Really.....! How hard is it to accommodate the guest with the items you promised them. I felt so bad for this young family. The mother sat in the lobby with her baby until 4pm, not a minute before to check in. Have a heart. I checked out. How was your stay...... I was happy to give the feedback. After the feedback the response. "nothing" Not a word. My advice... Stay away from the hotel, Irish pub, and patio. Stillwater is a great community and there are many other business that deserve your business. In my humble opinion Water Street Inn does not!

My wife and I spent last night 8/27/21 at this over priced hotel... We were in town for a wedding. First off the smell of mold in several of the rooms had my nose plugged the entire time... Second, the bed was as hard as a rock, my back is very stiff and sore today, third, there is no way to watch tv from the bed because of the horizontal boards from the head board blocking the view, the tv is mounted above the fireplace... Forth, there is no shelf or anyplace to place store personal items for use items in the bathroom... I've been in a lot of hotel rooms in my life, this is by far the worst one ever! I would definitely not recommended this worn out mold infested in need of refurbishing hotel. Very shabby.

We came into Stillwater on the night of 7/24/21 to meet our grown kids, have some fun on the town and stay the night. Then we planned on shopping around town the next day. We checked in to room 211, the older part of the hotel. 1. The carpet was filthy, 2 A drawer on the dresser was falling off. 3. The ceiling was peeling off. 4. Couldn't use the hot tub because there was some unknown red substance splattered all around the inside of it. 5. Chipped woodwork all through out the room. 6. Toilet seat not a fixed properly and kept sliding around. 7. TV didn't work, at all. 8. Took 5 - 10 minutes to find the main light switch as it was sandwiched between the tall dresser ang the wall. 10, Very, very, very (did I say very?) uncomfortable mattress. 11. Loud compressor type noise going on, all night. Keep in mind, this is a $320.00, a night, room. We would have complained and asked for a different room but we knew they were sold out for the evening. When we checked out the next morning we told all this to the clerk and he said we aren't the first people to complain about the state of the rooms in the old part of the hotel but he said when he tells management, it falls on deaf ears. There was no manager there that morning so the clerk gave me the General Managers (Alex Eder) email address. We were so exhausted as we didn't sleep at all that night, so we didn't stay in town, we drove home so we could get some sleep. We emailed the general manager and mentioned everything that was wrong, but guess what? Incorrect email address! We found the owner, Chuck's email address and sent him an email. A day or two later the general manager, Alex, left us a voice mail at home and said he would email me back and try to call again the next day, but he did not. A few days later, I called the Water Street Inn and left him a message but he never responded. Apparently they don't care about customer service, at all. No sorry, nothing. We've stayed there several times in the past but never, ever again.
