Stayed here in Inhambane for one night on our way from Maptuo to Tofo. Inhambane is a lovely little town and this hotel is in the centre. There's a nice bar/restaurant and around 10 rooms to the rear. Ours was very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bar looks like it could get busy but it wasn't on the night we stayed. Would be happy to stay again. A double room cost us 1500.

We have been in Africa tropical for 4 nights, when you enter you have no idea how big is the place, what seem to be a small door was hiding a great place.

Mario the owner, and all the employers, are very good people and very helpful. On the weekends you can expect very hot nights as the bar/restaurant turns into a party venue. Good fun!!

We'll be back.

Africa Tropical

Be very careful here. I stayed one night on my way from Tofo to Maputo. Very interesting garden type restaurant and bar that you enter from street and then a row of motel-type rooms in the narrow back garden. Room was basic at best but seemed OK for one night. But in the morning I sat on the toilet and it fell over. I mean literally fell over as it was not bolted down to the floor or else the bolts had rusted. I could have been hurt but thankfully was not. Oh and the hot water was disconnected from the shower. There did not seem to be a manager about or on premises to help me but the bartender did let me in another room where the toilet and shower worked fine, but it was not a pleasant experience. I demanded at least part of my money back that I had paid the night before, but the people there said that the manager had already taken my money to Maputo. I would not stay here unless you have to. Try the Imhambane Hotel, which I looked into before leaving that morning. And definitely try the café underneath that hotel where the food, coffee, service and friendship was excellent.

Stayed in two different occasions. Tv didn't work, internet didn't work, toilet seat was broken, room and bathroom were untidy, lamps are also a decoration (as the TV) as they do not work. Everything is broken and there is no maintenance. Electric outlets are dangerous and falling apart in both rooms. Not much choice of what to eat at the restaurant. They were out of everything but chicken and burgers.
