My husband and I stayed here during the middle of our self driven trip thorough New Zealand. This was the end of our South Island leg. We ferried over from Picton. We were met at the ferry by the staff to take our luggage and orientate us on the grounds as well as escort us to our rooms. The bungalow...

We had a two night stay here which we deliberately booked for a well deserved break half way through our tour of NZ. The journey to BOMC via the water taxi itself was a treat, with sightings of penguins, birds of prey and seals. We were greeted at the jetty by Natalie, Elaine and Murray - all were welcoming and...

Thanks Richard, we're pleased you made it to the Lookout and got to experience the fantastic views from up there. We live in a remarkable paradise and take a lot of pride in our role as custodians of the environment - we love being able to share it with our guests! Our restaurant wins many awards for it's outstanding beef...

We stayed at this hotel based on previous trip advisor reviews during our trip to New Zealand early November. The hotel is very quaint and unique. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The owners/property managers were very gracious and helpful. They assisted us in booking scuba diving during our stay. They also allowed us a late check out in order...

Booked in for three nights at The Bay of Many Coves Resort as a 'take it easy' stay during our tour of New Zealand. We had already concluded that the accommodation, food and service was all top-class, and also that the owners Murray and Elaine together with their staff were the loveliest bunch of people who would always go the...

By the time my husband and I were deposited by the water taxi at Bay of many coves, we were exhausted from a wonderful 10 day holiday with friends. My hope was to find a place to rest from the breakneck speed of our tour of both islands. We couldn't have been more pleased. When we arrived, Murray greeted us...

After a days cruising around the Marlborough Sounds we stopped in here for drinks and dinner. As we were hosted by a wine company the dinner was all organised by them, and cusps to them because this was a truly lovely place. When the boat docked we were warmly welcomed by the owners/managers. The place is in a truly beautiful...

This place is a sanctuary in the sounds. Idyllic and peaceful. Waking to the morning chorus of birds was incredible. The food was amazing as was the accommodation and surroundings. Would definitely recommend to my friends and family. Will be back a bit later in the summer!!!

It's getting difficult to write reviews in New Zealand. Everything seems to merit 5 stars. In which case Bay of Many Coves, or BOMC as it seems to be known, needs the facility to score 6 or 7 stars. Murray and Elaine (everyone's on first name terms at BOMC) offer a special welcome to this secluded (yet accessible) retreat. The...

The BoMC is magical place in a magical setting. Elaine and Murray are the gold standard in creating a memorable experience. A bucket list worthy destination that we hope to return to in the not too distant future.

Murray and Elaine are wonderful hosts at this lovely lodge. The location is stunning, right in the heart of the Marlborough Sounds. All bedrooms have views of the water, as do all public areas. It is easy to get a boat over to the Queen Charlotte Track and do a walk between 10 and 15k depending on what you feel...
