This is worth the 500m detour off the main Kenepuru Road, the gift shop is attached to the tiny coffee shop. It is amazing and full of rather neat items. They make coffees, smoothies and during the summer season run with more fresh made food.

We travelled as two couples and stayed in adjoining apartments. Both were spacious and comfortable with good bay views. We arranged for dinner to be cooked in our apartment by Rachelle and Jann. Superb meal and this option is strongly recommended. Our hosts were wonderful and we strongly recommend the resort. Thank you!

What an amazing spot and the Owners were fantastic. So obliging, nothing was too much trouble. Very quaint old fashioned rooms, like an old bach. Boat mooring right in front of the unit. Lovely little coffee and gift shop.

Thank you for your kind words and we are thrilled that you had such a lovely stay. We have tried to keep as much of the ambiance of the original building as possible whilst having modern facilities to accompany this.

It takes an hour plus driving by car from Picton to get to Te Mahia via some of the twistiest and narrow (but thankfully, paved) roads through the Marlborough Sounds area, but once you get there you'll be pleased you chose it as a base. It's directly on Te Mahia Bay, off Kenepuru Sound, and it has its own pier...

Thank you for your wonderful review, yes a windy and very scenic road to Te Mahia... but the trip is well worth the ride and guess what no traffic noise! Some clients do take the option of taking a water taxi from Picton to us if the scenic route is not an option. In our semi remote location we are...

I'm sure that without the location, Te Mahia Resort would not be getting the reviews it has. It really is an idyllic place, so peaceful. It is very tempting to just stay put as the road in and out is long, narrow and winding. The one bedroom unit that we stayed in was spacious, well equipped and comfortable. It was...

We are so pleased that you discovered our wonderful location and that you enjoyed your stay. We do also have other options beside the delicious pizzas, such as savory danishes, quiches and an array of frozen meats and canned goods should you wish to prepare those for your meal as well. Yes to be fare, we do have a larger...

We booked Te Mahia Bay Resort looking for a few quiet days in April. The resort has a selection of accommodation. We stayed in the Waterfront Motel Units. These are spacious units with a view of the Sound. The view was incredible, we spent a lot of time just gazing out at it. As others have mentioned, the Resort is...

Wow - what a great location. Our spacious units were located right on the waterfront - just walk out our unit doors onto the deck overlooking the Sounds. Pizza is the only cooked food available - there is a shop there though if needing to buy provisions. We took our own food as there were full cooking facilities available. Mr...

We are thrilled that you had such an awesome stay and you could experience some of the beautiful Te Mahia magic. Yes we do charge a 2% credit card transaction fee, we have decided to go with this option, unlike some accommodation providers who include this fee automatically in their room rate, we do not wish to penalize those who...

For our last night of the Queen Charlotte Track we stayed at this family owned resort, set in lovely bush right down at the Kenepuru Sound. Yes the view from the balconies is just amazing with the high tide coming right up to below the balcony- you cant get much closer to the waters edge than that! We hope you can return soon to visit us.
