We stayed here 1 night after 2 nights at The Alluvian in Greenwood. We loved it! We stayed in the"Tinth" shack. It was small but very original. The only suggestion I have is they need better pillows. You get two very thin and well used pillows. The Alluvian can't be beat for comfort but the Shack up Inn can't be...

One of the best trips we ever took. Loved the Shack Up Inn!!!! Our room was probably the most comfortable we have ever stayed in. WE stayed in the Sky Shack and will be booking it again soon. The Rust Restaurant had great food as well. Overall..a weekend of the blues in Clarksdale and staying at the Shack Up should...

A few years ago we had visited Clarksdale and drove out to the Shack Up Inn. It was cute! This was our tenth Anniversary and "Tin" is what you are suppose to give as a gift. What better to do is have a "Tin Roof" cabin. We decided to spend out Anniversary in Clarksdale and I made reservations at the...

We stayed here for 1 night and absolutely loved it. We stayed in the electric blue shack, which has 2 bedrooms and was plenty big enough for the 3 of us. It has a shabby chic feel to it and felt like we had gone back in time, which was exactly what we were looking for on our Deep South...

This is one of the most fun places we've ever stayed. We didn't really know what to expect but the write up was pretty quirky, so we pitched up. What a good decision. It's totally unique. We stayed in the Sky Shack, overlooking the restaurant, with our own balcony, kicked back with a beer and soaked up the atmosphere. The...

We live outside of Memphis, so this made a good day trip. Toured the local museums. Many unique restaurants to choose from in town. The hotel doesn't look like much from the outside if a person doesn't understand it is "supposed" to look that way. We stayed in one of the upstairs rooms in the cotton gin. Loved it! Room...

We stayed in the electric blue shack which had two bedrooms a living room a bathroom. There is so much to see it is tough to say what I...

A group of 5 stayed during the Clarksdale Film Festival. We rented the Pinetop Shack for 1 couple and the 2 bed- 482 Shack for the other 3. The shacks are fun and full of interesting art, photos and reading, while keeping interests up because you find some pretty cool artifacts in unexpected places. The old gin and surronding area...

What a unique place to stay. It was like spending a couple nights at a friend's house. Friendly folks, good food and drink. Overall great place to stay. Make sure to try the Rust Cafe. The food was wonderful, and take lots of pictures. We will be back.

Now this isn't the Four Seasons - anyone expecting it will be sadly deluded. But for a glimpse into the world of the old Mississippi plantation sharecroppers, there is probably nothing to touch it. Our shack (Tinth) was basic but comfortable. Hot showers and warm. Listening to the cold January rain attack the tin roof and skipping through the Mississippi...
