Breakfast was served on Silver Platters and real China! Beautiful grand antiques everywhere. Its like stepping into another time. We were there attending my brothers wedding and my 2 niece's came, Burnette was so kind to the girls!

Needed a one night stay in Columbus when we visited for the Spring Pilgrimage. This B&B is one of the prettiest houses in Columbus. The hostess is helpful, informed and serves a great breakfast. We had several choices for our breakfast and all of the food looked great. The room was big and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

We sure lucked out staying at Shadowlawn. We were traveling between Hilton Head and Dallas- two long days of driving. This was the relaxing stay we were looking for the night! Our hostess is wonderful! From the minute we walked in to her delicious breakfast we were treated to elegance and charm. It is an antique wonder and great stories...

I couldn't have loved Shadowlawn more. We made our first visit to Columbus this week, and we're running around all day - I'll be back, and am going to make a point to spend more time relaxing at Shadowlawn and talking more with Bernette. Will absolutely stay here every time we visit Columbus in the future! Ask her to point...

I put my Sweetie up at the Shadowlawn Bed and Breakfast, and it was the highlight of her visit. She had never been south before, and coming from New York City, she was just blown away by the beauty, hospitality, and cuisine. She stayed in the Victorian Room, which is absolutely gorgeous. The owner told us all about each room...

Beautiful Antebellum home with a very warm welcome from Burnette and an antique lovers dream. The house is so full of character and history yet beautifully equipped and offers the weary traveller an exceptional resting place. Breakfast was delicious and made all the more special by the beautifully laid table with silver & crystal. There are evening restaurant destinations just...

Beautiful but not stuffy, antique-filled with modern amenities. I enjoyed every minute of my time in Columbus and particularly my stay at the Shadowlawn. Is there anything better than sitting on the veranda in the morning with a cup of coffee or lounging in the mansion reading Tennessee Williams or dining on a leisurely breakfast with sterling? My only hesitation...

My wife and I stayed here for three nights. We found this B&B on the internet. Upon our arrival we were welcomed by Burnette. A most tender and sweet lady. She lives alone in this beautiful large house. Rooms are BIG! Bed very comfy and badrooms nice and clean. As Burnettes and her husband were antiques dealers the house is...

Burnette was a wonderful host for a quick business trip to Columbus AFB. The stay was comfortable, the breakfasts were amazing. Burnette went out of her way to cook things that worked well for my limited diet. The stay exceeded my expectations in so many ways.

The TripAdvisor ratings and price point ($295/night) set the expectation for an elegant stay. Not quite... by a good bit. If you are looking for an older, under maintained, over decorated B&B, here it is. But, it is not handicapped friendly (the limited parking is in back with entry steps that have no easy access to hand rails to prevent...
