We started our trip down the trace at French Camp just so we could stay here. Original log cabins serve as the B&B nestled in a quaint village. Part of the Academy which is a wonderful institution . Dinner at the council is simple and good. Don't miss the bread pudding. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. A Must!!!!!

French camp is just off the trace, very conveniently located for bicyclists. We (2 couples) stayed in the 2-bedroom cabin. There is a bath upstairs and downstairs. We ate dinner at the camp restaurant- sandwiches, salads, soup. The food was good, helpings large & prices reasonable. The service was excellent-friendly & prompt. Our beds were comfortable, and all 4 in our... More

We decided to stay at French Camp B&B as it was well located for our drive up the Natchez Trace, and because I was intrigued with the idea of staying in an historic log cabin. We stayed for two nights. Staff were warm and welcoming, but the cabin itself and its setting were disappointing. We stayed in the B&B Jr.... More

This was a beautiful B&B. My two sisters and I were traveling to Pisgah Inn in N. Carolina and this was our overnight stay on the way. We were pleasantly surprised with the cabin and the surrounding area. It was a quiet setting and we had a lovely swing and sitting area on our front porch. The beds were comfortable... More

We came in to visit the French Camp Rainwater Observatory for the weekend. What a wonderful time we had staying at this beautiful B&B. The facility was clean, homey, and in a beautiful setting. The breakfast was delicious too! Would highly recommend.

We stayed at French Camp while bicycling the Natchez Trace. Our group had the 4 rooms in the house and it was wonderful! Each room had its own climate control and bathroom! The sitting areas were very nice and comfortable - and with the added bonus of soothing music playing in the background, we could have slept right there! Everyone... More

Beautiful grounds, wonderful people and fabulous accommodations! This was my first experience staying at a B&B but definitely won't be my last. Truly a great place for an adult retreat. No phones, television, or WiFi but instead you can grab a cup of tea or coffee and enjoy sitting on the front porch watching the deer and other animals grazing.... More

We rode our bicycles up to French Camp from our house in Brandon. Our cabin, the Burford, was very spacious. The porch was nice and there was a bike rack. The inside was furnished very comfortably. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have slept on in some time. The Main House breakfast was truly a treat! We were... More

We stayed in the main building and our room was very comfortable; modern bathroom with rustic antique bedroom. We had dinner at the cafe (which closes early) and the servings were huge and yummy. The peaceful, lovely grounds just invite guests to take a walk. Breakfast was very good in the dining room of the main building and we found... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
French Camp Academy’s Bed and Breakfast is one of the few B & Bs located adjacent to the Natchez Trace Parkway. In 1986, French Camp Academy moved two clerestory log cabins built between 1840 and 1870 from Eupora, Mississippi, to French Camp. They were placed side by side and joined together with an addition matching the period architecture. Some of the original pine logs are 18 inches in diameter. The inn officially began receiving visitors in March 1987. ... more   less
