Our room at the Marriott was beautiful but housekeeping left a lot to be desired. When we arrived at our room at 9:00 PM, there was a vacuum cleaner in the hallway outside of our door. There was food left by the previous guest in the refrigerator, and there was just one towel in the bathroom, and no washcloths. There was a partially used bar of soap in the shower. The toilet was not clean. We went down to the front desk to get towels and informed the clerk of the issues. She just said “Okay” and gave us some towels, but did not take care of anything else. In the morning, the vacuum was still outside of our door. On the positive side, the room was nice. It was modern, nicely decorated, and the bed was so comfortable. The shower was great, it had a hand held spray with good water pressure. But because of the lack of cleanliness, I would not recommend this place.

Step back in time to a era when Marriott's flag was a sign of quality, then wait 30 years and do no updates and you will be at this hotel. We were stranded by Southwest and they put us up here for one night. Staff at the desk were friendly enough and that's the only reason I gave it two stars instead of one. Bathroom in the room wasn't very clean (long black hairs on the floor) and the towels weren't particularly clean either. Bed was clean and comfy - another reason for 2 stars. But the AC wasn't great. Despite being set at 60* it was barely cool and felt kind of dank in the room. I was going to complain about the dirty towels but was on line at the counter when the guy in front of me said his room had no towels. So I felt lucky to at least have dirty ones. There was no soap or shampoo in the room, no cups in the bathroom to use for water, one packet of each type of coffee by the coffee maker (caf and decaf). Paid $14 for two of the worst blueberry muffins we ever ate and a cup of coffee at the "market". Room clearly hadn't been updated much since the Reagan administration. Went to the bar area for a snack and drinks and were ignored for 20 minutes as we sat at a table. Finally went to the bar and ordered and carried drinks back to the table. Looked like they had one server handling all of the tables and she could only handle one, at most. Even though the room was free for us we still felt overcharged. There have got to be better choices, even in St. Louis.

Its a tired rundown venue, probably a great hotel 20 yrs ago. Add to that an indifferent staff, and smells you don't want to smell. I strictly stay at Marriott and have earned Platinum Elite. I don't expect a parade when I arrive , but know the protocol (Thank you for being a PE and do you want points or ?) This didn't happen, and the girl checking me in was over her head, she tried but struggled. The hallway smelled of mildew and urine in 1 area. The air in the hotel was dank, very humid, I don't think the AC was working. Upon arrival to my room it was evident the AC wasn't working. I set the temp to 62 but don't think it reached below 74 and was humid and smelled of smoke. I had a long journey and didn't feel like changing rooms . Staying in St Louis in July requires AC. The pool was great, the bartender friendly, the food average, I think its time to stop the limited menu because of Covid excuse when the whole country is open and all bars & restaurants serve full menu. Next time I fly into STL, I will step outside the Marriott Group and try Hilton, Hyatt or another.

I cannot believe this hotel is a Marriott! We typically only stay in Marriott hotels but will NEVER step foot in this one again. Not only were their "newly renovated" rooms complete garbage (moldy bathroom door, dirt on counters, broken shower, broken gate machine in parking lot), the service was also ridiculous leaving the airport. We called the shuttle like we were told and the woman who answered the phone told us to go to the wrong place. When we walked out the door she told us, it was a parking garage so I called back. She assured me it was right. After waiting ten minutes I called back and gave very descriptive detail where we were and she told us to move to a different door that didn't even exist! Called back again, same lady, same answer so when I asked her to please get someone who knows what their doing, SHE HUNG UP ON ME! We ended up taking a cab back that was refunded by the manager when I went in. The woman avoided eye contact while I waited and there wasn't even an apology for her telling us wrong directions and hanging up on me. The "convenience" of staying near the airport after 8 hours of flying was completely lost. We're going back to the Renaissance where there is Marriott quality rooms and service.

We stayed at the STL Airport Marriott the night before an early flight from STL. Our room was exceptionally clean and well-serviced. The front desk staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful! The free airport shuttle runs 24 hours and is so convenient. Also staffed by very friendly folks. Breakfast the morning of our departure was very good and the wait staff was friendly and efficient. A wonderful experience and I highly recommend this Marriott property!
