A bit late with this Review but have to say as soon as we arrived at Cedar House we knew we had struck gold. Mel is the perfect host and, with tea and biscuits on arrival, we enjoyed the spectacular views from the...

The en-suite accommodation was comfortable and with all facilities required. The attention to detail was amazing. The full English breakfast was comprehensive and well cooked. The location was ideal for us being just off the...

Lovely B&B with great views, locally sourced food, and very nice room to stay in. The host is very welcoming, providing tea and biscuits on arrival, and she also booked us a table at the local pub for our evening meal. The room is well equipped with everything you need. The B&B is set within a lovely area within minutes...

Mel provides a warm welcome (and tea and biscuits) upon arrival at Cedar House, set in the lovely countryside of Somerset. Our room ... tastefully decorated, comfortable, and well-proportioned ... offered some of the most wonderful views of countryside, coast and even heritage steam engines chuffing past. A peaceful night's sleep is followed by a lovely breakfast of locally sourced...

Once again we stayed for a week in Pippins, the self catering bungalow in the grounds of Cedar House, during our week of achery at Dunster Castle. Having said that, I didn't do too much shooting & so spent more time in the bungalow & surrounding area. It's difficult to add anything more to our previous years' complimentary comments, but...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Cedar House is a fine Edwardian gentleman's residence set in it's own grounds. The house has some of the most stunning, uninterrupted views in the area - overlooking Exmoor, the Brendon Hills, the Coast and Wales beyond. The steam engines of the West Somerset Railway passing by, the starry nights and some wonderful sunsets all add to the magical setting. It is the ideal base for exploring the area, Dunster Castle, the quaint villages and wonderful village pubs. After a peaceful night's sleep, get the day off to a great start with a full Somerset breakfast or something else from the extensive breakfast menu. Kay and Eric look forward to welcoming you to their home. ... more   less
