The Clarion Inn Branson garners praise for its host of amenities, including the ever-available coffee and inviting pools, although renovations are noted. Its location earns appreciation for being close to attractions with ample parking, even if it's along a bustling highway. Reviews on service are a mixed bag, highlighting congenial staff and commendable breakfast offerings, but not without a mention of occasional unresponsiveness.
The cleanliness of the hotel is consistently lauded, presenting spotless rooms and well-kept common areas. Despite some dated decor, the overall atmosphere and value are well-regarded, with the comfort of the rooms often highlighted, though a few guests mention they could be larger and better maintained.

Detailed Reviews
The bedding and pillows were VERY nice even the towels which some hotels cheap out on… Love that the pools and spa never close unless people are inconsiderate and loud. Fellow hotel guests were quiet and considerate so that was not a problem. Hotels usually close the pools way too early to get to enjoy them after a long day of travel or sighteeing so this was a nice and much appreciated surprise! The sauna was a great plus. The breakfast was basic but no complaints. Hot coffee was always available and everything was clean. The location was great and parking was available even if it was crowded. Hotel staff were courteous and kind, Laney, breakfast captain Valerie, and the chef Ingrid were alll helpful! Great place for families! Decor outdated but can’t beat for the price point!!! Fridge and microwave in rooms very convenient and nice balcony and strong air conditioning! Wonderful stay all told!! We will be back!!

I checked the reviews on this web site and the hotel's web site. Looked at all the pictures. When my wife and I arrived at the hotel, I was very unhappy that neither your web site, net the hotels web site mentioned that the breakfast buffet had been shut down. One of the selling points was the beautiful breakfast room and buffet. What was served as a "to go" breakfast was terrible; a plastic wrapped 'muffin', a chewy bar and an apple, plus serve yourself coffee or juice. I later found out that I could have asked for a microwavable breakfast sandwich at the front desk. This was on the way out after checkout and my complaint about the breakfast. We purchased microwavable breakfast sandwiches at Walmart after the first day. One other disappointment was I booked a room with a balcony. The room had a balcony alright. It just faced the copper roof of the front loading/unloading area at the lobby. May as well not have a balcony if all you can see is a roof of copper. However, the rooms were extra clean, house keeping was great.

The new owner is definitely taking pride in ownership and making the hotel even better. The lobby was bight and clean, the desk staff pleasant, friendly yet businesslike. Room service is upon request and both days we requested it was provided properly and promptly. Our room itself was in good condition, clean beds and floor, walls in good condition. The hallways were all very clean and in good condition. The complex is big but it does not seem that large inside as it is well designed. The elevators have nice indicator plates informing what is on each floor, a nice assist to clarify what is on each floor. This was our Diamond Night stay in Choice Rewards, so a special note for that. Parking is hilly but expected for the Ozark hills. Not impossible, just for awareness for readers, but there are pretty much hills in all hotel parking lots in Branson. The parking lots are spacious, clean, and well lit. There are several venues within walking distance which is a plus. This was out first stay at this Clarion and we will be staying again as time allows (we already reserved for Christmas weekend). We had an opportunity to talk with the owner for a few minutes and ti was nice to hear what the plans were going forward. Lots of renovation, lots of methods to better the guest experience. It sounded all very good and much has been started and some is in progress (like one of the pools being re-tiled)!. We enjoyed our stay.

I just returned yesterday after 3 nights at The Clarion. I booked 3 rooms and called ahead to make reservations two weeks prior. I requested highest floor available, front facing balcony rooms and adjoining if available. They told me there were no adjoining rooms available as all king suites were booked, and I said 3 rooms next door would be fine. (One room was for my sons 19 year old girlfriend and my 13 year old daughter, so for safety reasons we needed them close). When we arrived, the front desk was chaos, long line and the phones ringing off the hook. When it was finally my turn, as I was checking in the gentleman realized he had placed the people before me in a room that was occupied and had to interrupt checking me in to run outside and catch them. When we finally got to our rooms, we were second floor, rear facing. I was so disappointed I went back to the front desk to wait in line only to be told there were no notes left with my reservation of the special requests. They were able to give me one front facing room on the same floor, which I gave to my dad so we could stay close to the girls. Not that it mattered, the balcony was located behind a massive tree blocking the entire view. The rooms were very clean, a/c worked well and they were quiet. Housekeeping only comes every 3 days, but they have a system of filling out a card to get towels, soap, shampoo, anything replenished or trash taken out etc. I filled out the card and housekeeping was so nice when they brought me towels. The room location was a bummer but wouldn’t stop me from returning if it hadn’t been for this major mistake.... I had booked for 3 nights. Someone accidentally programmed the girls (19 and 13 year old girl) keys to deactivate after two nights. My husband was able to go to the front desk and request a key to their room and WAS NOT EVEN ASKED A NAME. They asked zero questions and issued him two keys with no problem..... that is a major safety hazard and I no longer felt safe. Our first night there, my youngest son who is 9 woke me up and told me he was scared and asked if he could get in bed with me. The next morning he told me he heard what sounded like a coin drop in the bathroom floor. Our door was also unlocked the next morning which was odd bc my husband is very conscientious about this. We didn’t think much of it until after the key incident with my girls room, and now we aren’t so sure someone didn’t come in our room our first night there. We will never know but in any case, I don’t think this hotel is safe or attentive, and we will not return.

We have stayed at the Clarion for several years on our many trips to Branson, and always enjoyed our stays there, but in December when We stayed there, the room was not very clean my husband commented on the shabbiness and dirtiness of the hotel for the prices they charge. We are making a trip to Branson in March 2022 and decided to give them another try. My husband made reservations several weeks in advance, however they told him to call back closer to arrival to see what room we would be getting. Two days before our arrival he called back and talked to some lady, he was having trouble hearing her and asked her to speak up, he finally said I am going to have you talk to my wife. When I got on the line, I could tell she was irritated. After a couple of minutes,She said I am going to put you on hold. Ten minutes later when she didn’t come back, I hung up and called back. She said I told your husband six times what he asked me (which wasn’t true.) I said well he couldn’t hear you, she angrily said well then he should have put you on here to begin with. I said well you are being rude and hateful, let me speak to a manager. When the manager came on she was as hateful and rude as the other lady was. She said what do you want me to do, when I told that the lady had been rude and hateful to us, she said well you are being rude and hateful, even though I had only explained to her what had happened! I realized immediately that this conversation was going nowhere. She again said what do you want me to do, I said well maybe you should apologize and get rid of that employee who thinks it’s okay to treat your customers like that! After that she would ask me something and then proceed to talk over the top of me when I tried to answer! She then accused me of telling her three times to get rid of her employee. I said that’s a lie, you know I never did that! I finally just said cancel our reservation and she said I will be glad to do that! Obviously they don’t value their guests at all!

We stayed here for 4 nights, with 3 of them coming through the Branson Travel Group package deal and then we paid to add another night. It is conveniently located in the middle of everything on West 76 Country Blvd with restaurants on either side of it. Our room with 2 queen beds was more spacious than some and did have a small balcony with a locking door. But this place is overdue for a renovation and since it apparently was sold to new owners over the summer, maybe that’s the plan. Bathroom is tiny, as is the TV. Room is pretty dim with no good reading light. The nightstand is way too low for the beds so it’s not convenient to set your beverage, remote, or whatever there. There was a big upholstered chair that sat so low I couldn’t use it even with 2 pillows on it. The water pressure is low and it took a VERY long time for the water in the shower to get hot. But I have to commend housekeeper Angie! I was extremely sick with a stomach flu on one day of our vacation and had to ask to get the linens changed on one of the beds as well as all fresh towels and washcloths. She came in and visited with me as she worked and was just SO nice and friendly and sympathetic to my ailment. Couldn’t ask for better there!

The Hotel room was large and clean and the little balcony overlooking the pools was nice but the customer service fell short.
When we checked in, we were not told maid service was only "as requested" so the second day when our beds were not made etc., I called and asked about maid service. Only then were we told about the "as requested" so I asked for more coffee and clean towels. I was told they had some at the desk and I could come get them! Only when I insisted, were they brought to our room. During that same call, I asked for maid service the following day which I was assured would take place, When it didn't, I asked why and was told that it was scheduled for the following day- which was the day we were checking out!
Breakfast was mediocre at best; food was not hot, muffins were hard and the only fresh fruit was whole apples.
We will not be returning to this particular Clarion Inn.

This place was such a wonderful place to stay in Branson. We always recommend it. Our recent stay there has totally changed that opinion. From the dead lizard in our room to the loud music by the pool, kids running and jumping in the hot tub and families eating around the pool makes the value of this hotel decrease. The previous owners kept this place up and now not so much. VERY SAD to see this. A continuous path like this I dont see this place making it for long.

This is where I was put up for the timeshare presentation I took while in Branson. It is right on Highway 76 W AKA "The Strip" so it is right in the middle of the action very close to the "Grand Village Shops" right across the street from, "Wonder Works", and a easy short walk to "Gettin Basted", "Landry seafood House" & "Pancho Villa" restaurants. And considering it was off-season these were the majority of all the restaurants that were actually opened I could eat at the place next door called "Local flavor Branson" was closed like most every other restaurant & music venue at this time of year. As for more on the hotel itself other than its location. They do have breakfast every morning that includes waffles, eggs, sausage links, cereal, oatmeal, toast, coffee & juice. My room itself was very well kept and clean I had absolutely no complaint with it at all. I was on the back side of the hotel overlooking the pool and what appeared to be another wing of the hotel that is not used in the off season during low vacancy. As for the front parking lot next to Highway 76 it is quite hilly so be careful if you have mobility issues parking in that parking lot.
Based off my stay here I would definitely stay here again.

+1
This is a 30 year old hotel - that hasn’t been been updated since it was built. The smell is horrendous & will make you nauseous. They do not have plastic covering to enclose the mattress from spills or bodily fluids. Thankfully no bed bugs & surprisingly the broken bed was actually comfortable. The furniture is old & broke down. The bathroom is extremely small. Don’t bother waking up early for breakfast. The waffle batter was stale, the muffins were also stale. They had scrambled eggs & sausage links. We only stayed because it was free to us. I actually thought about checking out but thankfully we weren’t at the hotel that much.

When we were there in July they were only giving bags if you wanted them which didn't include much, other than a prepackaged muffin and an apple, bottled water and maybe a granola bar. Nothing like the usual breakfast bar.
When we last visit back in December they handed out brown paper bags.
Best to call the hotel.
