Detailed Reviews
I recently spent one night at the Comfort Inn at Thousand Hills on my way back from Texas. It was my first time in Branson (definitely a worthwhile destination!), so I can't compare this hotel to others in the area, but I can definitely say that I am a satisfied customer and wouldn't hesitate to return.
The hotel is a little older, but for the most part, it's been really well-maintained. The common areas and the room itself were very clean. The beds were comfortable and they did a fantastic job with breakfast by mixing grab and go items with some hot options served by the breakfast attendant (which I'm finding is rare during the pandemic).
I encountered 5 employees during my stay, and all of them were very friendly and helpful. The front desk clerk called a few minutes after check-in to make sure everything was acceptable in the room (which it was).
The location is great. It's located close to everything on the strip, but it's set off the road enough that it's still very quiet and peaceful.
Although there were a couple minor maintenance issues that I noticed in the bathroom (Room #210) upon closer inspection, they weren't serious enough for me to give this property anything but 5 stars since they didn't really affect my stay. For ownership, those issues were:
1) Dripping faucet and loose handle on the sink in the bathroom
2) Burned out light bulb above the sink in the bathroom
3) Loose metal plate on the floor of the bathroom

We have stayed here several times in the past and it is still just as nice now as then. The staff are very helpful, there are breakfast choices for both hot and cold items and the pool area looked very inviting, although we did not utilize it this time. The parking area is very well lit and it's away from Highway 76 to not be noisy. We would definitely stay again on a trip to Branson.

Clean, quiet and comfortable. A hot breakfast is served daily and was the same for each of the 5 days we stayed: scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, yogurt, cereal, small muffins, bread to toast, waffle maker, etc. Did not use the pool or hot tub but can be viewed from above in the breakfast dining area and looked nice. Housekeeping is available but must be requested. Our room was noticeably very humid at all times but it was hot outside so maybe that was just a seasonable issue. We did feel "moist" all the time in our room. It is a good location in that you can enter and leave with little traffic which is a plus in Branson.

This was not the best experience. If you need to do work, don't trust the "high-speed" internet. Our phones had little to know signal and the wifi just made it worse. My daughter couldn't use her tablet while at the hotel due to the poor internet service. They have pictures advertising the hotel has breakfast, but the breakfast they advertised was nothing like what they serve, so don't get excited about anything spectacular because it won't be there. It would have been nice to have more variety but they do not offer it. They say you are getting a queen-sized bed but looking at it and laying in it, feels and looks like a full. Even brought this to the front desks attention and they "assured" me it was a queen sized bed. Noticed as we were doing a final walk through of the room there was a Corona bottle cap on the nightstand under the lamp which tells me they didn't clean that room thoroughly. Yet they claim COVID is the reason guests can't serve themselves at breakfast. Advice would be to see if there are any other hotels that offer better amenities for the price you'll pay and do a walk through of the room when you first check in so you don't find trash that's clearly not yours in a spot that should have been cleaned and sanitized properly.

Still due to covid-19 there is no cleaning of rooms unless requested. If requested your towels lay out side your door until next day when you take them down and ask for replacements yourself. Also your request for room to be cleaned goes undone, so far we are here 4 days and the room hasn't been cleaned. When asked about it they are apologetic about it but still no service. Hotel use to be nice but has gone down hill recently.

The hotel is centrally located so it made it really easy for us to get to all the places we wanted to visit. The first day there we met Kathy in the gift shop. She is a true gem and totally made our whole experience so much better. She made great recommendations, saved us money on the shows we wanted to see and was just a delight to chat with. Definitely need more folks like Kathy representing Branson!

The hotel is centrally located with good access. It is older and in need of a refresh. Everything seemed to be done on the cheap. I’ve eaten a lot of hotel breakfasts and generally like them. Not this one. Waffle mix had no flavor. My husband said the sausage and eggs were tasteless. No fresh fruit other than apples and oranges, which were individually wrapped in plastic wrap (as were the coffee cups!). Very bad for the environment and not necessary. The bed was awful. It had a sort of mattress pad cover that bunched up under us. The sheets didn’t stay put. Finally, housekeeping…we were told it was no problem to have housekeeping. On our second evening I called the desk and requested it for the next day. I was assured it would happen. It didn’t. We went out in the morning, returning about 6 hours later. I went to the desk and the clerk said the room had been cleaned. I told her it had not been. She was going to “check on it”. Two hours later my husband returned to the desk and was told the room had been cleaned. He told them it had not been. At that point it was 5:00 so we gave up and just asked for clean towels and trash pickup. We won’t stay at this hotel again.

A great hotel located on one of the bypass routes in Branson, Missouri. We like the location because it is in walking distance of the Aquarium At The Boardwalk and some great restaurants. The hotel has ample parking, an indoor pool, and a great breakfast. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the rooms have two sinks. One sink is in the bathroom and one is outside the bathroom. We have chosen this hotel for there no pets and no smoking policies.

This is our favorite place to stay in Branson. It’s located near the main attractions and Tanger shopping mall. The hotel is clean and quiet and staff is outstanding. We’ve paid a lot more for a”fancier” hotel room near the river but didn’t sleep as well as we did on the beds at the Comfort inn.
Pros:
Comfortable clean bed 🛏️
Quiet room and restful nights sleep 😴
Clean attractive room (Maybe not surgical room sterile, but it would be the highest standards of ant mother in law.
The staff, from the front desk to the groundskeeper to wonderful people that take care of our rooms they are exceptional. Any problem just talk to them politely of course.
The breakfast includes juice, eggs, yogurt, muffin coffee, waffles, sausage, biscuits and gravy. They were able to efficiently serve 2 tour groups and all other guests without any problems!
Cons
It may not be the latest sparkling cut diamond, but it’s still a diamond at the best value in Branson.!
Really love staying here. 😊

Absolutely no negatives from check in to check out. The hotel is convenient to the 'mid-strip' shows but far enough off Rt 76 for it to be very quiet. Room was very clean and comfortable, bed and pillows were comfy, bathroom was clean with large soft towels. Very good breakfast in the morning. Check in and check out went perfectly. We'll stay there again on our next visit.

Unfortunately no. The only amenities I can remember are pool-hot tub, exersize room, game room, outdoor deck seating, morning breakfast buffet, and gift shop.
I have not been to the Comfort Inn on Gretna, so I cannot do a comparison.
The Comfort Inn Thousand Hills is a 5 star resort in my grading system. The manager, who was present when we were there is top notch. Their gift shop contains a great variety of items. The rooms are very neat, clean, and offer a great night of rest.
Each month we offer specials at a select group of shows. We also offer discounts to Branson attractions. There are no service or delivery fees. It is a great service to use if you haven't used it before. The staff can help with recommendations.
Check in time is 3:00pm but if your room is ready we will let you check in early. Check out time is 11:00am.
Thank you,
Kathy Woods
