Booked for one night, in town for funeral. Overall feel is not cozy at all. People yelling up and down halls, loud. I wasn’t aware they locked doors at night and i was locked out.no hot breakfast offered as advertised. Took 3 calls to hotel and 16 minutes to be let back in. No soap or any toiletries in room, and i didn’t know you have to ask for them until a little later, but it was so late and i had already woke manager up once that i didn’t ask. Mouse poop under my pillows as well as a little pool of what i assume was mouse pee. Gathered my items and left around midnight. They would not do a partial refund. Nobody would leave a motel at midnight and drive to Bolivar without a very good reason. Partial refund should have been given. Very shady place.

This was a nicer place than I expected and it was obvious that they are working on upgrading the hotel. I booked our stay through hotels.com but was also charged by the hotel when I checked in and I didn't realize it until after we had left. I believe it was a mistake but I have called and emailed numerous times and haven't received a refund yet. Hopefully this helps!

The price for rooms at this hotel is definitely not worth it. We were in town for the weekend for a family wedding. We paid $94.14 per night. The room was musty smelling when we arrived. Every time the air conditioner kicked on or off it blew something musty smelling into the air which made it almost impossible to breathe. Finally opening up the window was the only thing that seemed to offer any relief. When I said something to the girl on staff the next morning she just shrugged like she didn't care. The wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom. The hot tub was broke and the pool heater was out so it was covered and not able to be used. The person on staff when we arrived acted like this was a new development but after talking with a few of the locals it seems they have been this way for about the last 3 years. The mattress in the room was so hard it felt like I was sleeping on a stone slab. Another family member who stayed here also said their room was infested with beetles. All in all not a great experience and definitely not worth the price. Next time I'll stay in a neighboring town and drive in to avoid this place.

I would like to thank the owners for for being so accommodating for my daughter and granddaughter.
Due to icy roads the girls needed to park for the night.
I called to set up the room and
The Gracious Host made them very welcome made sure their parking area and walk was salted. Even helped them with their bags after they returning from the box store next door.
The room was clean, warm,
My girls could not have been more pleased with 3 room or service.
Thank You

The room was very clean as was the bathroom. The bed was comfortable. Room was large, had a regular size refrigerator, microwave, lots of cabinets.
Where you come in to register, you go around a corner and there is a large breakfast room. They have a continental breakfast, coffee all day long, have hot chocolate in Keurig cups so you can have hot chocolate instead of coffee. Have mini marshmallows there to put in the chocolate. Also the cups have a thing you can put around the cup so you don't burn your fingers.
They also have a vending machine and soda machine there too.
This hotel is a non smoking in the rooms hotel but they have a couple places where you can smoke.
Also they have a grill area and tables if you wanted to eat outside.
Very impressed with this hotel. I will visit there again. They also decorated for Christmas with a tree and window paintings and other decorations

Thank you so much for the kind review! We have been working hard to spruce up the place, so it's wonderful that you noticed. We were also pleased you liked the Christmas decorations and indoor mural, as it was our intent to make the hotel warmer and more inviting for out guests over the holidays. We hope you'll be back again in March, when our pool is scheduled to open!

I stayed 5 nights there and the first thing I have to say is that they genuinely care about your comfort during your stay. They are under new management so of course there is going to be some growing pains. They strive to portray the idea of hospitality which has gone by the wayside in so many hotels today. I saw that they helped some locals who had fallen on some hard luck. Ive stayed here with different management and the renovations were remarkable. They give 100 percent effort and sometimes get a bad wrap for enforcing the no smoking rules. It makes sense smoking stinks. They have to be strict about these things to preserve what their hotel stands for. Its a slippery slope that takes a nice hotel to a ghetto hotel full of meth head hangout like other establishments in the area. 5 stars🙌👑😁 👑❤

Stayed here 3 nights while in town for my daughter’s wedding. Older place, currently in the stages of renovation but don’t worry about that. My room was very clean and bed was very comfortable. Nice linens and pillows, better than most chain hotels. The manager “Doc” is very accommodating and just a very nice man. If you’re looking for pet friendly this is your place, his dog “bandit” is at his side all the time and also a sweet dog. Desk clerks and housekeeping staff all ver polite and helpful. As I said before, the place is aging but it’s clean and comfortable. Huge fridge in my room, unexpected but great considering I needed a place to store 40# of ground beef for a day! Big thanks to Doc and his staff, if I ever need to come through again I will return to this hotel!

After my daughter stayed few days in that hotel and complained multiple times form it, I visited her in this hotel to check. Unfortunately, room was filthy, not clean, bugs were everywhere. The floors were sticky, stained, I could hear EVERYTHING next door. The corridor smelled like smoke, constant noise, awake after midnight on loudly sound knocking on doors for long time like drunk, we decided to leave - If buildings could speak, this one would be screaming “Run Away”
Pool was closed during summer!!!! Picture on their website do not reflect actual condition in the hotel !!!. I would strongly recommend booking elsewhere.

This is the third review in the last three weeks on the same stay in August. We're not sure how many times someone is permitted to write a negative review on the same reservation, but that's the case here. Now for some truth...when the room was booked, you insisted on unreasonably low rates, which we couldn't accommodate (although we did provide a rate that was well below our rack rate). The room wasn't filthy, there weren't bugs everywhere, the door was secure. It was a busy week, so there may have been more noise than usual. You can take your shots at us, but it's not fair or accurate to depict our other guests as drunken door-knocking heathens. We cater to hard-working, decent people. We acknowledge that the pool was down for repairs, and is scheduled to reopen in March. The rest of the website photos DO reflect the state of the hotel. The bottom line is you are unhappy about the stay. For this we have sincerely apologized. However, we won't be bullied with repeated posts of questionable veracity.

I spent Easter with family and stayed at the Buffalo Lodge. My room was very clean, the staff was very helpful and pleasant, The managers, Morris & Coni were so helpful, made my stay fantastic. They were friendly...T he entire staff was friendly. They had a very nice breakfast of biscuits and gravy and sausage pattie. Very good. If you didn't want that, there was pastries and cereal.
Thank you staff for a very enjoyable stay there.
