Clean tidy well set out, staff friendly, patient [real positive when you can't decide what to have to drink, let alone eat]. Starters good choice, the pate was lovely and the potato skins came with three sauces. Main courses again a good choice, Beer battered haddock, chips and mushy peas, [if you choose this main course wouldn't have a starter].... More

Visited November 2016. Had a lovely meal, served by very friendly staff who could not have been more helpful and attentive. Had a lovely chat with the landlord about farming in the area as we are also farmers.

Our party of 4 visited the Pack Horse Inn early November. The quality of food, service and hospitality was excellent and far exceeded our dining experiences at other venues in and around Bamburgh/Beadnell/Craster area. Our overall experience was so positive we decided to book for dinner the following evening and were equally impressed. Thank you very much to all of... More

I could tell you about the comfy bedrooms, cosy pub atmosphere, friendly staff and beautiful surroundings...or I could talk abut the rich tender pork and cider casserole, which came garnished with a tiny, perfect, apple and herb pasty! Our table of ten had an absolutely beautiful meal, the regularly changing menu feels like it's put together by a chef that... More

Rooms were clean and well equipped although dividing walls very thin - to be expected in an old building like this - great views of the countryside from all bedrooms Excellent breakfast but we did not try restaurant for evening meal as it was quite expensive .for a family of four Communication after initial booking needs improving - we had... Visited for an evening meal and was impressed with the food and the service. A varied menu that looks to use local sourced products (including meat from their own farm). Starters of salmon and prawn cocktail and tempura prawns were delicious followed by duck breast in a blackberry sauce which my wife thoroughly enjoyed, I had the lamb tagine which... More

We went here on the Friday before our friends wedding on Saturday. It reminded me of our local. Low ceiling, intimate, and very busy, probably because the bar is so small. We got talking to the owner, who was a great guy. Embraced some of our drunker celebrators. We had pre booked lunch on the Sunday following the wedding so... More

Excellent Food and good service and dog friendly restaurant. The menu is good with a lot of options. I had the fish and chips which was excellent. I would recommend a visit to this restaurant for something to eat.
