Golf course is great; well maintained and very playable. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. Overall, resort needs an update. Food in the two restaurants was very average or below average. All staff is very friendly and helpful. Will definitely play the course again. Will stay at different lodging, however.

Just completed two back-to-back events (4 days each) at the Old Kinderhook at Camdenton MO and must mention the amazing, hard working and dedicated team that deserve high praise for their commitment to service and guest satisfaction. Throughout our events we saw the same team members going above and beyond and most importantly with a smile and can-do attitude. The Executive Chef Brett and his Sous Chef James, consistently put out delicious meals that our guest raved about. Bar Manager, Jason Shelton, was present at all our dinner and hospitality functions making sure liquor was flowing and people were happy. The Banquets team of Raven Foy, Michelle Swenson, Emma Easter and their support team were quick to make adjustments and pivot to ever evolving changes, and even went as far as purchasing items we felt would better suit our guest needs. The management team of Lance Utley, Jasen Jones and Kris Losure pulled double duty and supplemented wherever additional help was needed. They worked extra long hours being Super Stars! Stephanie McQueen, Christine Williams, Royce Hopkins and Walter Fleming were the friendly faces that greeted our guest sand made sure people knew what additional activities were available in the area. Customer service was number one with this team. Jayce Conklin worked tirelessly setting up and breaking down meeting rooms and Lenin Torres was everywhere keeping meeting spaces clean and in order. I cannot stress enough what a talented team they are at Old Kinderhook as I truly believe success in this industry is how you overcome challenges and make it a positive experience for the guests.…

We hosted my daughter's wedding reception at Old Kinderhook, and it was an amazing day. The hearth room for cocktail hour was amazing with yummy appetizers like bacon-wrapped scallops and spinach/artichoke dip with bread. The reception was held in the ballroom, and it was a wonderful spot for a wedding of around 150 people. The food was delightful, and many of our guests commented how much they enjoyed the food and the venue. The firepits were a big hit with some of our guests. The staff at Old Kinderhook was also amazing. Raven and Michelle helped make the day run smoothly with Raven helping during the planning process for the last year. Everyone from the bartenders to the servers was helpful and accommodating. The chef also added a personal touch that we appreciated. We had to get to Missouri for a family emergency and my husband was in a wheelchair due to a recent injury to his leg. Not every hotel is truly wheelchair accessible and the one we had previously used in Missouri, was booked solid. Not knowing where to look, I researched, and found Kinderhook. I called the main reception area and was immediately put at ease and helped by the young man that answered the phone. (Mr Fleming) He booked us a room. He made sure it was accessible. He told us not to worry about what time we were coming in or going out. And each time we had to stay another day at last minute due to changes in Drs’s plans, we were accommodated. I have nothing but high praise for this hotel!

The rooms are spacious with a balcony. Request a reoom overlooking the golf course and pool. There's a huge deck with comfortable outdoor furniture also overlooking the golf course. The meeting rooms are spacious and staff does a great job setting up.

Went for conference- room had a great view of lake and golf course- very clean and quiet- had lunch at Hook cafe - great sandwiches/ dinner at The Trophy Room- highly recommend, the pretzel appetizer, truffle fries, lemondrop martini, Creme Brûlée was excellent- breakfast was served for our conference- was delicious- definitely will be coming back

Our grandson had a hockey tournament this past weekend. My wife and i are lake residents and went up to watch and grab a bite to eat at the Trophy Room. We did not have a reservation for Friday night and at the last minute were joined by our family of 5. The food was great, the service was great and accommodated our group with no heads up. We spent time at the lodge as well. The front desk folks were always so nice and greeted us while all the commotion of 50 plus kids running around. Kuddos to the entire staff, job well done-happy 2023 to all of you. We will be back!!

We had a great time ice skating, swimming, walking the golf course, visiting the Santa village activities, and eating in the restaurants. The staff were friendly and everything was clean. We love to go here during the holiday season, as well as in the summer.

I love this place but.... 1. Arrived on a Saturday at about 5:15 pm nobody was behind the hotel front counter- I had to ring the bell for service. The hotel if full - someone should have been greeting people. You should have had a bellman opening the door. There were two different corporate events at the hotel this night. 2. Our company dinner was carved prime rib, turkey, mashed potatoes, roasted root vegetables (which were mostly potatoes), salad, rolls, and various desserts. The food was good - but serving mashed potatoes with another sided of roasted potatoes was odd. Your chef should have known better. 3. Bar service for the company event was slow. The signature drink for the evening was a cranberry mojito- it should have been prepared in a large batch. It took way too long to make them individually. 4. Our room was on the 4th floor over looking the pool. They pool was lit up and looked pretty except for all the leaves in the bottom of it. It only takes about 15 minutes to have someone fish the leaves out of the pool. A four star resort should pay attention to details. 5. The 4th floor hallway walls are fairly beat up - my guess is it's from the maids cart. Paint your hallways - paint is cheap. Talk to your housekeepers - don't allow them to beat up the walls. 6. Our bed linens wore worn out and pilled - the pillows were awful. 7. We ate breakfast at your cafe. The hash-browns weren't eatable - I think they were leftover from a previous day and cooked until the were hard even though they weren't even warm when served. The English muffin was gross and buttered with oil that tasted old. 8. We had wristbands for adult drinks and hot chocolate by the rink. They ran out of hot chocolate, decaf coffee, and Michelob ultra. I absolutely love this place so I'm hoping that you fix these issues.…
