This cabin is romantic, simple and peaceful. It has everything one could want for a romantic getaway or just to take time out and relax with your sweetheart.
This cabin was very clean and had all the amenities you would want. Being able to bring your own food is nice especially if you want to control what you eat.
We have been hear 3 times and will visit again.

We stayed in the Meadow cabin and it was above and beyond what we expected. The cabin inside and out is beautiful. It's stocked with all the utensils and cookware you would need and everything else you could need. We made lots of food with the charcoal grill each night we were there. There's a big open lawn out front with a fire pit and it's secluded. You can't see any of the other cabins from the property. It's a short walk to get down to Dry Creek, where you can wade in the water or walk around. The one thing to note that caught us off guard for a second is the road to get down to the cabin is gravel and pretty steep, but we managed to get around okay in a FWD sedan.

We have been coming here for over 15 years. Still beautiful. We prefer Meadow but have stayed at all except the lodge. What a wonderful ,peaceful place to visit. Great place for families or couples. We used to bring our kids here and now come as a couple. Has everything you need and more. Now you can get a cell signal with ATT, not a requirement but a plus. Meadow has celing fans on the porch to keep you cool and keep the bugs away. View from Meadow is beautiful. I just can't say enough good things about Fair Winds!

We really enjoyed our stay. It was very peaceful and quiet. While we were there we took the opportunity to visit nearby Dillard Mill and Johnson Shut-ins. We had both locations to ourselves!! We also enjoyed dipping our toes in the nearby private creek with its own sandy beach.

We loved our getaway and will return.

I stayed in Hunter's Run. The log cabin was very clean with a nice kitchen and even a jacuzzi bathtub. The best part for me was that it felt very secluded with plenty of distance between the other cabins. It's pet friendly too. This is a place to turn your cell phone off and enjoy the beauty of nature.

This is an amazing little getaway. We had 6 adults and 5 children under the age of 9. Everyone had a great time. We spent time at the creek, the kids had a huge back yard to play in, the outdoor area was used by all, we sat and visited, ate food, and just enjoyed each other. The cabin was cleaned and well maintained. It had everything we needed. Close to Meremac Springs.

I stayed at the Hunter's Run cabin, very nice and quiet.
Easy access to Mark Twain and had a very restful weekend.

Sipping coffee and watching the stars off the porch with no light or noise pollution
was wonderful

Very easy folks to work with!

This is my 3rd visit to Fair Winds. This stay was at Wildflower. What a lovely trip. We
had time to play in the creek and do some sight seeing. Dillard Mill is a short distance away and a beautiful scene. Even though it rained alot, the porch was large enough to still get outside. This was a lovely getaway for myself, daughter and 2 grandkids. I can't wait to get back here!

My husband and I rented this cabin in June since we weren't able to go to Mexico for our 30th anniversary because of Covid. The cabin was off the beaten path, which we liked. And very comfortable and had everything needed. There were even frosty mugs in the freezer. We loved sitting in the deck listening to the wildlife. And in the field by the cabin were beautiful wild flowers. Loved how they encourage the guests to decorate and leave a rock. Also a great location. So close to many beautiful areas. We went to several state parks that were close. Definitely want to go back soon but for a much longer visit.

We stayed in the Meadows Cabin with our girls, and it was wonderful. We had ample space, and it was clean and stocked with everything we needed. We were a good distance from the other cabins; it was peaceful and quiet. The creek was in walking distance, and the girls had fun playing there. We will definitely return!
