It's difficult to explain just how fabulous this place is, you have to experience it. We flew there on a six seater and back out on a 12 seater plane to a small Tarmac strip. The staff are fantastic and really make you feel part of a family. Most guests chose to eat together for a superb lunch and dinner...

We stayed here for four nights in September. The number of guests varies and there were about 12-14 guests when we were, just like a house party. There is plenty to do on site including a pool, hot tub (if there isn't one in your room), relaxing lawns and gardens (beautiful vegetation), library and jetty. The rooms are individual lodges...

We never expected to experience such a special place hidden amongst the rainforest and by the sea. Accessing the lodge was fun, taking a small plane from Cairns to an airstrip, then by road to the river and finally by boat to the lodge all smoothly handled by excellent staff. Our meals were delicious, especially the coral trout I caught!...

Stayed here as part of our Oz and NZ trip. Celebrated our Ruby Wedding anniversary and a special birthday. From the moment the care picked us up from our hotel in Cairns to the moment we returned everything was perfect. The journey to the lodge by plane, minibus and boat was great. All the staff were fantastic - helpful, knowledgeable,...

This was our second visit to Bloomfield Lodge and we found it as good as ever. The service is unobtrusive and spot on. The staff led by Craig and Cori were always happy to go out of their way to help. They cater easily for special diets without any fuss and the food is amazing. The communal dining works very...

My wife & I stayed for 5 days & had a great time. Excellent food, fantastic managers & staff. All on first name basis and always willing to ensure we had a great time. Plenty to do with river trips, fishing, bush walks and chilling out on remote beaches (with huge picnic hampers).

We stayed at Bloomfield as a family with one older teenager. We were looking for a place to totally relax but also somewhere that would be interesting enough to keep our teenage son engaged and happy. There is no mobile or internet reception which is great if you have a need to totally escape from a busy life. The rooms...

Twenty years since I first visited Bloomfield and it's still a special place for those wanting to find a gem in the rainforest. We stayed 3 nights in a deluxe retreat and wished we'd had at least one more night so as to get to the reef. Nevertheless the day excursions were excellent; In particular Shane's croc spotting trip. We...

We were lucky enough to spend 7 nights at this fantastic resort. The journey to the lodge by light aircraft, 4WD and boat sets the scene perfectly for a fantastic remote getaway. Quality of accommodation, food and service are outstanding. Add to this the friendly, knowledgable and very professional staff and it would be hard to beat. The trip to...
