We had 4 nights here in January (monsoon season). There were 3 of us, 2 Queenslander rooms. Our views as follows: Friendly staff greeted us on arrival, rooms very comfortable, atmosphere very relaxed, rooms not locked. Communal eating although we chose to have a separate table which they were happy to sort. Food exceptional standard although we found breakfast a...

A beautiful unique place. The rooms have character and are comfortable. The swimming pool is very good. The staff are all so friendly, helpful and polite and obviously enjoy working there. The food is 5 star and the chefs , Bianca and Russell are just superb chefs. The only complaint about the...

We stayed at Bloomfield Lodge in 2010 for our honeymoon. We stayed 7 nights. Overall, the experience was beautiful but overpriced. When Bianca was the chef, the food was the best we have ever experienced, meal after meal. My husband, who never eats fish, happily enjoyed even Bianca's seafood dishes. She is the best chef we have ever had the...

We stayed four nights in Bloomfield in October 2012 in a Queenslander, we travelled with friends to this remote destination and was not disappointed in anyway. How they deliver the service and quality of food in such a remote place is amazing. Greta and Travis who greeted us were very helpful and helped us arrange a celebration dinner for our...

Trailfinders promotes Bloomfield Lodge as a unique destination. What makes this unique is not just the flight in to Bloomfield or the lodge itself, but all the staff. From the minute you are met in Cairns at Hinterland Aviation and your arrival by boat at the Lodge (by Paul) you are treated as an individual and first name terms used...

We booked this through Trailfinders and knew it would be something special. It lived right up to expectations and then some! The Lodge is built in amongst the rainforest and although on the mainland,it's located on the opposite side of the Bloomfield estuary to where the Bloomfield track is (part of the route from Cairns to Cooktown), hence the only...

This rainforest lodge is excellent. The whole package via Trailfinders included our flight in a small Cesnar which in itself is an adventure, with stunning views over the reef. You then transfer via road and boat, it really is isolated. It's a place for relaxing. We had a Queenslander room with sea view balcony. Mossie nets and coils are provided...

Beautiful remote location with excellent food. Attentive staff and very relaxed atmosphere. Transfers from Cairns by coach, small airplane and boat went without a hitch and ran to time. Snorkelling on inner barrier reef was good (according to my wife who enjoys such activities).

We stayed four nights, but three would have been enough for us. We stayed in the very spacious and well appointed Queensland Room that is OK for two couples. The room was well maintained and the upstairs queen bed that we choose to use was a king bed composed of two singles pushed together. I found the bed a little...

Great to back here and find it still as good as ever. Seamless pickup via Trailfinders, geat scenic flight (bit larger plane this time) and still the same excellent guides, hosts, food and rooms. We both ride horses and had had emails with the lodge and Hidden Valley Trails near Cooktown to try to arrange a day ride when others...
