We booked an airbnb apartment for a week in the Clayton/University City area but were sorely disappointed by the rundown character of our lodging and bugs that looked like cockroaches in the bathroom. For only $50 a night more, we went from tired and lackluster accommodations to a very sweet spot at the 7 Gables Inn. The window in our...

We loved the beautiful building and private courtyard. It felt very old world, in the best sense. Great breakfast options. And we hosted a party in the Molly Darcy Pub which was awesome; the wait staff was great. All the staff was great. My husband is handicapped, but we were accommodated on a ground floor room and he could take...

Thank you for your feedback! We love that you appreciated our building, which is on the national historical registry. The building was built in the 1920's so it really is a big part of Clayton history. Once again, we thank you for your kind review and we hope to have you back as a guest in the future. The Seven Gables Inn was a perfect place to stay in St. Louis. Our room was spacious and clean. The Inn is charming. The breakfast was good. The location is great. And, the staff could not be nicer. My son left his retainer on his breakfast plate. We realized it was missing about 20 minutes later, after our plates had...

My room was #223. Place appeared not to have an elevator. The area I staid in would not be suitable for disabled people as the hallway was only about 3 ft wide, and my bathroom had standard fixtures and accessibility. I do not know if there were any ground level rooms. There is an adjacent bar/grill that caters to hotel...

Thank you for your feedback! We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. We do not have elevators as we are an historical building but we do have rooms on the first floor to accommodate all of our guests. We will be working with the breakfast staff to ensure breakfast is out more quickly, thank you for bringing that...

Seven Gables Inn is absolutely lovely & has a terrific staff. We checked in after two long days of sightseeing, only to discover we'd been booked above the noisy bar on the nights of 3/17 & 3/18. We were desperate for quiet but tried to settle in. Then Dominique & her management offered us free upgrades to other rooms that...

Thank you for your feedback! We pride ourselves on guest satisfaction and we're glad we were able to make your stay with us an enjoyable one. On Friday nights we have a band in the Molly Darcy's pub but we've recently reduced the time they play as to not disturb our guests. Again, thank you so much for your review!...

Really likes this small historic hotel.. We stayed in room319 , very spacious and comfortable bed. Only complain would be the breakfast, NOT as good as it should be, not enough options and NO expresso machine ... Other than that I would consider it for my next stay.

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry that the breakfast was not up to par but we've recently undergone big changes concerning breakfast. Unfortunately, we still don't have an Espresso machine but we've expanded our breakfast to new weekend hours and hot items that change everyday. We are glad you were able to enjoy your room and we hope to...

Very helpful pleasant staff. Parking was great, if you came late and needed a spot the valet parked it in a nearby garage till a parking spot for hotel was available. Thank you for taking the time to post your review. Our building was built in the 1920's with its original structure, the walls can be thinner then modern day structures. NO ELEVATOR! Other than that I have nothing negative to say. The rooms looked amazing. Very elegant. The courtyard was beautiful and the staff was very helpful. I could honest imagine getting married here. You have to pay for parking which is $17 a night. They can charge it to your room if needed. The bar/restaurant is cozy. Free wifi,...
