I/we needed to stay in Eminence for several days to prepare for a family funeral. We selected the lodge as it afforded us a common space for family to meet and share time together. Judy, the hostess, was so friendly and helpful. We really appreciated use of the commercial kitchen to prepare and store food for the after funeral meal. Bedrooms are each unique and theme decorated. Very clean! My wife said, "this is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in." I would highly recommend Cedar Stone Lodge for family gatherings, reunions and retreats.

This was my 3rd time visiting Cedar Stone Lodge and I have been impressed every time I have been there. This trip my husband and I stayed in the Bunk House. It was very quaint with a homey feel. There's a little kitchen are where you can keep your drink cold, have a cup of coffee, microwave a snack or wash a dish or two. There is a small bar with stools to sit and eat. The bed is Kingsize and very comfortable. You have a flat screen tv in your room with access to plenty of channels. There is a full tub and shower combo which is perfect for whichever way of bathing you prefer. There is even a grill outside for cooking up some burgers, hot dogs or steaks. The scenery around the lodge is pretty to look at and their are several amazing places to visit just a short drive from this location. There's an old mill, a waterfall and a very deep sink hole, and a little further away one of the larger springs in Missouri. If fishing, kayaking or canoeing is more your style we have some of the best in the country. Harvey's canoe rental will even pick you up from the lodge and return you when your trip is done. If you get a chance to come visit make the time to do so, you won't regret it.

This was our first visit to cedar stone lodge, we had a beautifully decorated room 4 poster king size bed, comfy chair in the room, TV with satellite, if you feel like watching. Cozy TV area in the main room also for group watching. Lots of space for any type of event, would be perfect for a wedding venue! Rooms are very clean. Lots of tables for meals and game playing. Our family played card games and Mexican train dominoes, and sat around reminiscing of family memories and loved ones. Nice big sofas around a massive fire stone place. Outdoor gathering spaces. Main house has I belive 11 rooms available. A bunkhouse and cabins. Fire pits for outdoor night time gatherings. Large front porch with tables and chairs to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Large back deck and BBQ grills, A screened in Pavillion. Huge property great for any event!! Not to mention the full gourmet kitchen at your disposal, with everything you need to make your event memorable. Lots of things nearby to do aswell . Visit Alley springs mill, go canoeing, swimming, hiking, or trail walking. Can't beat the location! We had a great time!! Can't wait to return next year! Thank you Judy for making our stay a wonderful experience!!

Judy is amazing. She has come through for us two years in a row, even at the last minute. We have stayed in the lodge and in a bunkhouse and both were more than we could have asked for. Homey, relaxing, and beautiful. I have nothing bad to say and again want to commend Judy for her wonderful management, personal care, willingness to go above and beyond, and attention to detail. Cedar Stone Lodge is a place of relaxation and comfort I hope we visit every year!

What a great visit in this beautiful place .Little piece of heaven ,beautiful lodge with full kitchen, huge lobby area where friends or family can sit and visit by a fireplace, several tables to eat at, a section where you can sit back and watch TV. There are several rooms decorated in different styles, the room I stayed in was a safara theme and was lovely, my friend Diane and her husband stayed in the cowboy room. Also there are several cottages as well as a bunkhouse . Such more to see, I would think this is a great place for a reunion, friends together. Or a retreat.

I stayed at Cedar Stone several years ago. I wasn't planning to return, but my family had loved the location. So I decided to give it a try again. In making my reservation, I could tell things were running more smoothly than they had been a few years ago. It was so much simpler! Judy had me a room and questions answered in just a few minutes. When I arrived, I got my key and made my way to my room. I was just so impressed with how clean it all was. The lodge is such a beautiful place, and so peaceful! I love the view from the upstairs balcony! My family also likes using the pavilion after a day on the river. And I found out that the info on the internet is wrong. We can stay 1 night or however many we want and we don't have to have a group. Come see! You'll be glad you did!

I absolutely love this place. It’s a perfect spot to bring your family especially if u have little ones. They have everything u can possibly need. All u have to bring is clothes. The management there is amazing and they always are so clean. Judy always makes sure ur comfortable and always ask if u need anything. I don’t even camp anymore because this place is too good to pass up. It’s my home away from home

I arrived on my scheduled day and time to any empty lodge to find an envelope with my room key and an apology that no-one was there at my arrival. I naively assumed someone would be there later and went to a wonderful bluegrass concert near by. I came back at 9 PM and was locked out of the building. I had to call a number on the door and then wait a half hour (sitting locked in my car- as the area is quite isolated) for a landscaper with a key to come let me in. I was traveling alone- and there was no one else in the building- including no staff. If I had known somewhere else to go, I would have left then. I spent the night in my room with a light on and my phone in hand- anxious at any creaking noise and hardly able to sleep. I sent in an evaluation with my concerns at not being notified beforehand there would be no-one else in the buillding. When I received a call back from the manager, instead of concern for what I went through, I was made to feel that: 1. I should have known "a lodge would have no staff in the building overnight"- I have stayed at many lodges and this has never been the case. 2. It was no big deal for a lone woman to be staying in an empty lodge-"no-one has ever complained about this before." 3. It was my own fault I got locked out- I was told I must have "hit the lock on the way out." If this were so it must be very flimsy, as all I did was walk out of the building. The lodge looks like it could be a nice place, and the room was clean (although I agree with a prior reviewer that the sheets were threadbare). But clearly there is a serious problem with the present management. I wish I had looked at Trip Advisor before my trio- it looks like there are several bed and breakfasts nearby where I would have a much more pleasant experience.
