We are in the heart of the Ozark National Scenic Riverways. Our cabins are nestled among plenty of beautiful shade trees just 150 yards north of the Jacks Fork River on Scenic Highway 19.Our cabins are great for large or small groups, family reunions, etc. We also offer picnic tables, BBQ grills, volleyball, badminton and horseshoes for outside evenings, swing sets for children and pits for outside campfires. We also have free coffee in the morning.
We stayed in the upstairs of #11. It was very roomy and clean for a kayak get a way for the girls. It had two full size beds(they seem to be full), full kitchen, back deck and front porch. It was walking distance to some of the restaurants.

Donna at the front desk was amazing- very helpful, friendly and made sure we had a wonderful stay. Cabin was large, clean, beds were new and comfortable. Cabins were all in set back in the trees with plenty of shade, outdoor grill and fire pit. Playground for the kids was really neat. Many places to eat and stores within walking distance, Cabins do not have microwaves or coffee pots, though coffee is available for free at the front desk. Keep in mind that the place does not have river access but there are many places to swim on the river with in a very short drive. We found the place quiet and relaxing, especially enjoyed sitting under stars by the fire.

This place has potential. Our group rented two small cabins and an RV site. RV sites are small, close together, and aren't secluded or shady at all. They are by the parking lot near the office and motel. It would be fine for just an overnight stay but not very peaceful for a vacation. Lots of traffic through the resort. Small cabins are musty smelling and beds need replaced. It would be nice to have a kitchenette in the cabins as well. I wouldn't stay here again. I would pick something on the river in the area.

Three couples journeyed to Eminence Mo for a kayak trip. Stayed in the cabins. This is a great quiet location. The cabins had everything we needed. Picnic tables and fire rings were available. Dish Network TV for some downtime. Clean room, though the fridge seemed to be missed, it wasn’t nasty just needed to be wiped out. Will stay with them again!

We rented three cabins and a motel room for a group of 20 family and friends ranging from 12 - 65 years old for a birthday celebration, winter canoe trip, and sight seeing. The cabins are excellent ... beds and bedding are nice, bathrooms are clean, kitchens are nice, and everything has a comfortable feel to it.. The fire pits are very convenient. The entire property is located within a short walk to the river and restaurants (I highly recommend ‘Dos Rios’). The owner and staff are incredibly nice and sincere people. They are responsive to questions and accommodating in every sense of the word. We had plenty of room to park our vehicles and canoe trailers, and the area was well lit and secure.

We stayed at the Shady Lane Cabins while taking pictures of area springs and mills. My tests of a motel room is whether the sink drain works; is there enough hot water for 2 to shower, and, does it heat/cool efficiently. SL did well on all criteria. At $40/night this is a good deal.

Stayed over Labor Day weekend. We have stayed there the last two or three years in a row, but unfortunately the cabins have become a little more musty than the year before. I think that the majority of people staying there are there to go canoeing. That means lots of wet clothing and leaking coolers and the floors have carpeting, also it doesn't help, I think they turn the air conditioning or heat off when someone's not using the cabins. This last stay really had my allergies going. Not to say all bad things about this because we do love this place and the people are great and they do try to handle any problem that may come up to make your stay better.

We appreciate your input. We get a handful of complaints about musty cabins each year, and we tackle them as soon as they are brought to our attention. You see, neither our head housekeeper nor I have a a good sense of smell - so admittedly, if you have a keen sense of smell, it can be a concern. As you stated, we tackle every issue as soon as it is brought to our attention. And, we sincerely apologize. Please bring any concerns to our attention, and they will be handled in an expeditious manner. We promise.

My husband and I wanted to visit the Ozark springs. Shady Lane has a variety of accommodations. We chose Story Creek Manor. It is lovely, comfortable, and spacious. The managers are very friendly. Jack's Fork River is a short walk away. We look forward to returning sometime. I have already recommended it to relatives.
