This hotel was advertised on a couple of websites as a 2.5 star “hotel”. I would consider it mostly a “2-star motel” with outside entry rooms. Check in was quick and easy. The clerk who checked us in was animate about the breakfast and the fact that they use “real eggs and sausage”. Let me be completely honest about the breakfast. They may have “real” eggs and sausage but they have “no idea” how to cook them or to keep them fresh. Our first morning breakfast with the so called real eggs and sausage was fair. The other two mornings were a complete awful disaster....the eggs and sausage were so bad we had to just throw them away immediately after a taste. Other customers echoed the same feelings and even asked the clerk to get some fresh eggs and sauasage. There was definitely a language barrier and it didn’t help. He tried them and threw them away. Stick with the coffee, toast, cereal, and the hot waffle. Otherwise we can’t recommend that you even try these terrible “real” eggs and sausage. They don’t have a clue about how they should be prepared.

First of all, this motel is probably one of the nicest Quality Inns we've stayed in. (We typically stay at Comfort Suites) The outdoors looks a little dated but rooms appear to have been renovated. Our room was at the back of the property in a separate building, was quiet and we could see our car from the window. Bed was comfy and room was clean. Large TV worked well as did the AC. We didn't use the frig, microwave or pool. Hot breakfast was fine although the breakfast room was a little small. My problem was during check in. We reserved using the Choice Hotels app under our Choice Privileges Diamond member account. I always do our check ins due to my husband's mobility problems. As soon as I tried to check in the clerk told me that since my husband's name was on our Choice account he would have the come inside and physically do the check in. We've been Choice members for 30+ years and this has NEVER happened. I had our membership card and all the proper ID. She could look out the front door and see my husband sitting in our car. I pushed back and said no and that we'd go somewhere else. Another woman came out from the office and said not to worry, and we finished the check in. Then they told me I had to put down a separate $100 deposit that would be charged to my CC and not refunded for 5 days if we didn't smoke in the room or cause damage. Once again, this was a first for us and if this is a new policy for Choice Hotels, we'll reconsider using them in the future. Choice corporate usually emails me to do a follow up survey after our stays and I'll be bringing both concerns to their attention. I've never written a review this long but I'm still confused as to what happened.

I’ve stayed here twice in the last month. Each only for one night. Compared to the Super 8 it really should be your only option for a pet friendly hotel in Farmington. The pet friendly rooms are much larger than the super 8 for right at the same price. On the last stay their curtains in the room looked like someone had wiped their mouth, or worse, on them. Other than that the room was pretty clean and the staff friendly. The only other thing that I didn’t much care for was the number of people just hanging out outside the rooms. Out of all three times I’ve stayed it’s been the same way. Almost felt like I was at a block party and not a hotel.

Took them a few days to refund my fiancé’s deposit but it was refunded. If I stay in Farmington again with my pets, all things considered, this will be the only option I consider.

I went here stayed at room 122 and it was immaculate they said that it was trashed and I have pics and videos of the room so you can see for yourself and he even asked me to check out early and they won't reimburse me for the two night I had left. My daughter and grandson came by to visit he saw them eating dinner with me and we were very quiet and respectful but he asked me to leave and threaten then about my deposit so i know he planned from beginning that he wasn't giving the deposit back no matter what. Mike the manager is a very rude disrespectful and hateful person he is the manager and need to be fired.

We had a guest at this hotel for 52 nights and this General manager is overcharging and has no idea of the state laws related to taxes or how they work. This hotel is a huge risk for comfort, service, and price. Buyer Beware!!

This hotel had a comfortable room. It wasn’t extra clean and I found hair in the bathtub. We arrived late and it was very dark and didn’t feel very safe. Our room was on the top and there was no elevator. The room was very very close to the highway so the road noises kept me up awake a good part of the night. The breakfast was the best part of stay. They had eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, bagels, oatmeal, pastries, and fruit. It was almost embarrassing to see other patrons eat like they had never seen food before. Watched a young man completely clean a full pastry case out in one sweep. People were bringing bags and taking all of the fruit and oatmeal. It led me to believe many people are living here full time and this may be their only food source. Hotels in this area are expensive so for the price and need this was an okay place to stay one night.

Check-in was ok. When we went down hall to our room the smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming. It has to be in all the walls, ceiling and carpet. Disgusting. But, thankfully our room smelled much better. Room was clean. Bathroom was small and clean, but looked like mold all around ceiling and mold on the wall behind the door. (See pictures)
The microwave glass plate is not the right one so doesn’t sit evenly.
When we went to get in the bed, the carpet on the side of bed near the wall felt very wet and we had not been swimming or had any other reason for it to be wet.
Breakfast included hot foods which were good.
Pool appeared inviting.
The fitted sheet had a cigarette burn size hole in it.
I think we will look at other options on our next trip.

I know all hotels are non-smoking. However the room we had, it was either a previous smoking room or the previous occupants had smoked in it. My allergies kicked in in the middle of the night and I woke up with a runny nose and sneezing and watering eyes and could not wait to get checked out. Otherwise breakfast was fine and I appreciated the staff calling to check in on us the night before for our arrival time.

Pros:

There is a pool and the pit bull was enjoying it quite a bit.
I saw no rats or cockroaches
The itch cleared up quickly with hydrocortisone 1%
Only $59

Cons:

Pit bulls running free (2)
Door to room did not need a key (2)
Walls filthy
Ceiling paint peeling
Uncomfortable bed
Sticky floor
Unapologetic Staff for having to wait in line while others complained about their rooms

I wouldn't stay here again for free. I wouldn't stay here again if they paid me the $59 instead of me paying them. When I checked in I noticed the door opened right up, I didn't even need a key. The lone guest services rep rolled his eyes and led me down the hallway as if he was going to show me "how to use the key", and after five minutes, shrugged and said "lock is broken". I said "I already told you I could open the door without the key". Back to the front desk we go with a line of people stewing. He gives me another key and - are you ready for this - again the door opens without the key only this time I'm greeted by a broken chair and sticky floor when I open the door. (see pic of chair). Back to the front desk third time is the charm, the door needs the key to get in! But the room, it's like they really just don't care. (see pics of wall, ceiling, showerhead).
