Family walk with a donkey around the farm followed by lunch on the terrace. The building is absolutely beautiful, the setting is breathtakingly beautiful and the donkey, Bambi, was a perfect travelling companion. Little “coics” to perfect (Reservation not registered, waiting time to take the order, impossibility to brush the donkey when we arrived where we were totally alone...) would make the experience perfect but it remains my most beautiful postcard of Lozère. Preserve this magnificent site, it is a jewel.

We went to this farm 3 times. Our first stay delighted us, many accessible animals like rabbits, kids, that children could approach, good atmosphere, good meals...
2nd stay less friendly, far fewer animals accessible for children and meals lost quality, and the staff seemed overwhelmed and understaffed, especially during meals, less organized.
3rd stay really disappointed, the condition of the bedding, which until then suited us this time not at all agreed (mattress with mold, sheets torn in places and really too much dust in the rooms), although rustic and that’s what we come for, it became borderline.
Staff really overwhelmed who could not manage everything , evening meals that really lost quality.
Too bad because the place is superb but it was too much for us.

Don't go to La Ferme if you want creature comforts. We had mismatched towels that even the charity shop would reject, and we had to lift the sink to open the shower door. But the location, communal eating, and ambience of the place is why I'm giving it a 5 star review. We stayed for 2 nights, and each night they cooked something on the fire. We weren't sure how it all worked (not too many English speakers), but there was plenty of food for dinner, and the guests were generally friendly. We went on a walk around the farm, which was lovely. They've made a big effort with labelling the walks and making it family friendly. We felt as though we'd gone back in time, and enjoyed the rustic feel. There is wifi (though reception is patchy depending on where you are). They make their own cheese and sausages, and there is a little museum, showing the tools on the farm. Great for young kids.

It's a magical place where everything is done to immerse yourself in our memories. The farm run by a few young, highly qualified people has nothing to envy of the most prestigious lodges. All the animals are represented there, the vegetables are authentic and the fruits are from the orchard. Hiking trails are offered, as is relaxation under the arbor on the terrace. The sausages are homemade, the cheeses itou as well as the honey. The place is sufficiently isolated not to be disturbed by incongruous noises, except the bellowing of the deer, in season! When it's time to witness goat milking and if you feel like it, donkey rides are possible. In short, there is something for all tastes and all ages. Congratulations to the whole team who always take care of you.

Good morning,
We have been going to this farm for 9 years.
It's a very, very beautiful place, especially in winter. It's friendly, you can make friends.
Come alone, with friends or family.
Even with your pets.
The farm offers donkey rides, milking cows, seeing chickens, rabbits, roosters, sheep and sheep.
There is also a store to buy sausage and cheese.
It also offers very beautiful walks in the forest.
The rooms are quite large, with everything you need.
Made of stone, this area brings a more cozy side.
Go there, it’s really incredible!
THANKS. We'll come back!

Giant exotic! The super nice women and the men in their vintage not friendly and protective….good food you can even eat with your hands the dream! We sleep with the fireplace in the dust, too bad the bidet is missing since we never took a shower before, only downside….and then this dog is very friendly, a real comedy with his goats and geese 🪿 thank you but our grandmothers miss us

First off, I'd say that part of me doesn't want to publicise this place, because I'd like to keep it a secret for myself!

If you are looking for 5 start facilities, swimming pools and sun terraces, then move along, because this might not be your bag. If like me, however, you want traditional rustic "old" France, then this is the jackpot.

We arrived a little late, and dinner was just starting. Everyone dines together at the same time on the two large refectory tables in the dining room, and you can imagine sat there that this has been the case for hundreds of years. We shared a table with one of two groups of French people, who spoke roughly as good (or bad maybe) English as we did French, so it was fun to share conversation whilst we ate.

Dinner here is completely a social occasion - there is no menu, you get what is being cooked on the day - home grown, peasant food and thoroughly delicious.

To start with, there was some light salad and sausage (made on the farm) - very tasty. This was followed by a batch of oven cooked chicken (you don't get chicken as tasty in the supermarket for sure) and a large batch of haricot beans, with as many jugs of wine as you like to wash it down.

Then the cheese board - home produced excellent goat's cheese of different types, including the "dangerous" 2 year very smelly option.

All in all great food, and great hosts.

The accommodation is what you might expect to see on a 3 Musketeers film set. The were something like 20 rooms with I think 85 beds (our room had six), with ancient beams and floorboards creaking away at every step.

The views are breathtaking at every angle. The whole valley is in fact, and we were sorry we had only decided to spend on night here en route to our next stop.

In the morning we rose early to watch the goats being milked, and the cheese being made, before buying a selection in their "cave."

It was quite simply the best.

This is a perfect place for a family adventure. At €40 per night for two the rooms are cheap and could hold a large family easily - kids would have a totally amazing time here.

Wifi here is a little more difficult (you need to go to a public area), but it is available.
