Rustic Luxury is the only way I can describe it. We are in day 3 of a 5 day stay and I feel prompted to comment on our stay. We chose Sol 3 for its closeness to the beach. The room is small but quite adequate with plenty of porch area, 2 levels one of which holds our private hot...

Playa Escondida went above and beyond our expectations. I had booked it based on reviews on Trip Advisor but knew no one personally who had been there. The exceptional reviews were right on! My teenage daughter and I went on a "mother/daughter" 6 day trip. Everything was just amazing - the venue (secluded but still close to other activities), the...

This place ia amazing! Gourmet food, amazing views from the rooms, and Gorge, the bartender, was always ready for us with our drinks! Our luggage was misplaced by the airline and the owners were so helpful in letting us borrow clothes or getting us the small necessary essentials. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Great experience. I've read and heard great reviews but definetely it exceeded all my expectations. One of my favorite hotels and hope to be back very soon. Perfect for couples or for a relaxing retreat with a small group of friends. The food is amazing all day long, breakfast, lunch, dinner and even snacks. I stayed at Bird canyon in...

This place is simply amazing. Paradise. Traveled from Puerto Vallarta to Sayulita, staying one night in each location and then stayed two nights in Playa Escondida. We decided to stay one night in Cabaña which is essentially a Palapa with in the middle of the the hill with heavy jungle vegetation. The second night we stayed in Chachalaca which is...

My wife and I attended a wedding in Sayulita and opted to stay outside town at Playa Escondida. We were thrilled with our choice. We stayed in Villa 1 for five awesome nights and really recommend that unit. Often, people say location, location, location. But at Playa Escondida, it's all about their service. From check-in to the bar, spa to...

I'm sure I'm just repeating what others have said about this wonderful place, but it's easily the best warm-weather resort I've ever been to. It's informal, friendly, funky, happy and reasonably priced. The food is excellent, the staff is attentive and fun. You'll learn some Spanish, you'll have a few Pacificos, you'll order chilaquiles con pollo for breakfast three times...

Playa Escondida is by far the most romantic spot we have ever stayed! It is hard to sum up just how extraordinary it is - truly perfection. The grounds are lush, the pool is spectacular, the beach is secluded, the food is incredible, the staff is unbelievably friendly and welcoming. We have no idea how anyone could say anything negative...

I spent five incredible days at Playa Escondido in mid-April! I couldn't have asked for a better vacation and have been raving to all of my friends about it. I love to travel alone (I am a woman) and am always searching for fun, relaxing and "safe" getaways - this is now at the top of my list! The staff...

The rustiic opulence of this hotel is the most unique property I have visited. service from the waiters is top notch and the food is as good or better than any place I have visited in Mexico. The water is rough where there is swimming and some might might find it too challenging. Also it is important to know that...
