I stayed there from 3/1 to 3/5 the owners were awesome anything we needed was no problem. I would stay there again if I ever went that way. The rooms were neat and clean, the ground around the place were great. Great place!!!

Well I wanted to write a nice review for the sweet young couple that owns this place, but it seems others have already said pretty much everything I was going to say.
This is not the Ritz-Carlton. It's no-frills. When I arrived the gentleman owner was folding fresh towels in my room and I joked with him that I was disappointed because I'd requested the towels be folded into little swan shapes. But I'm not removing a star for that haha
Bottom line: the Barnwood Inn was clean, the bed was fine, and value was good. That's all I really need or expect for a location such as this, so I'm satisfied just with that. The fact they've done a little extra with the themed decor is kind of tasteful and shows a little extra effort to make it a pleasant stop on your travels.

Very nice place. Decorated rustic style and several antiques to look at. Room was clean and mattress was comfy.
The manager was very responsive .
Would stay here again! There was not any breakfast served; I think they quit serving it when Covid hit.

My father and step son stayed here. They both enjoyed their stay here greatly. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The lady running the place was extremely friendly. Made them feel at home. She took time to visit with my father, which was greatly appreciated.

The Barnwood Inn was an ideal stop between our home in Arkansas and our destination in Kansas City. The proprietor was friendly. Our room was simple and very clean. I especially noticed how the hallway didn't smell of cooped up carpet -- you know, that standard hotel hallway smell.
The had unique details playing off the barn wood theme, but not too much. Each room had it's own carved wood name, ie. Black Walnut. There was a rustic porch light outside each door.
My husband (who used to travel 15-20 days a year) said he got the best sleep on their beds. I believe the mattresses are very new. I like the predominantly white bedding. It helps me see cleanliness with my own eyes.
I can highly recommend this acommodation.

We are probably the only hotel in the USA that sanitizes our air. We don't just filter it, we sanitize it with UV4Life units. We are so happy you guys enjoyed your stay!

Secure parking for my motorcycle right at front door and refreshingly a family run business with a great attention to detail. Very quiet location, large room with a King bed and was spotless. The owners are friendly and accommodating & on my next trip through I will stay again. Continental breakfast has lots of options & hands down this place beats the chain motel/hotels ten to one!

We were on the road in outstate Missouri and decided to spend a night at the Barnwood Inn. It’s VERY country and has so many interesting artifacts from the past. It’s extremely clean, quiet and accommodating to our needs as a couple who enjoy new adventures. We will certainly book another stay if we route ourselves through their region. Thanks for making new memories.

The minute you walk through the door you are greeted by the owners Mike, and Michelle. If you like Joanna, and Chip Gains you will love the decor. Our room was spotless, our bed was very comfortable, I got the best nights sleep I have had in a long time. The BarnWood is located on Hwy 13 very easy to get off and on. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover it is an old fashion motel look from the outside but, the inside is beautiful, modern, updated. Great Direct TV service, and the WiFi is fast. I will differently be back when in MO.
