Neat and immaculate! Remodeled, good beds, pillows and linens, absolutely charming! Delicious home cooked breakfast included. This place gets 5 stars from me. Not a single complaint and we will definitely be staying here again!
Shepherd Mountain Inn was beyond our expectations. Spacious, clean, quiet room. We were on the back side with the creek out our door. Absolutely fabulous breakfast. Fresh and lots of variety. We hope to return and spend a couple nights so we can explore the area. One of our best overnight stays on a road trip in recent years.
Beautiful visit to Arcadia Valley The motel SHEPARD MOUNTAIN INN is clean and jacuzzi suite is so nice with walk to back by the creek so relaxing the host is excellent ,extreme hospitality. We enjoyed our stay went to Johnsons shut Inns Taum Sauk Mt and Elephant Rocks st park. The prime rib at Bayley Joe's was delicious. THANK Jill
Seems like a family business and they welcome guests like family as well. Rooms are much nicer on the inside than what you'd expect from a typical motel. Breakfast was tasty as well. Overall an excellent experience!
We stayed at this motel this past weekend. It is well-located, on Highway 21.Staff were helpful and very friendly, Bed was pretty good but felt smaller than a Queen Size. Our room had microwave and a small refrigerator. Shower was pretty good. Liked having 2 sinks in the room, one in the bathroom and the other near the frig. We were in room 62,in the front, so parking was readily available. Grab and go breakfast was pretty good, no milk available. There were some negatives I need to point out. First, the location of the room out front led to noise issues. There were some people talking right outside our room Saturday night, and this was an issue. We did not feel comfortable asking them to move elsewhere, so we put up with it. Early in the morning, the birds were very active, as well. Second, the drapes were worn and would not close properly, leading to serious privacy issues. Luckily, we were able to use a band aid to solve this issue for the night. On the top of the toilet tank in the bathroom was a McDonalds plastic cup containing a toilet brush in it, with some brown flecks in the cup, Not a welcome sight! Finally, though the property reports being COVID-ready, the staff did not wear masks! So, why 3 stars rather than less? Very convenient location, staff were very nice, and maybe we caught them on a bad day.…
When visiting the Arcadia Valley, you are very limited on motel choices. The Shepard Mountain Inn is a nice motel to consider. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. If you are expecting The Ritz, you're going to be disappointed. But if you are looking for a nice place to stay in Ironton, the Shepard Mountain Inn is a great choice.
They really did a wonderful job renovating this motel. Our room was like brand new inside. Very clean and very comfortable. The sink area was outside the bathroom, made of granite and extremely clean, with attractive shelving. Our room was in the back,#47, with good view of a tall Ozark mountain and a cute little stream. The staff were polite and helpful...nice folks who really wanted us to feel comfortable, which we did. Full hot breakfast and good coffee. You should really give this place a try...
All and all this is a very good motel. The owners do a good job of keeping the rooms upgraded with nice linens. The staff had to room clean. We were checked in professionally by a very nice man. He recently moved to the area to run the motel so had limited knowledge of the area when he was asked questions. That will come with time. The drawback for us was the ugly view of the restaurant outside our door. I have stayed here before and will stay again.
Very clean and comfy, bedding is nice , nice little sitting area out back, quite, Good restaurant prime rib , steaks , and chicken and pork skin chips, next door. Very Good Hot Breakfast , eggs, bacon, sausage, home made biscuits, and other pastry.
The property was well maintained and clean. The stage was nice and very informative. The hotel had WiFi, which was great considering our cellphones didn't get service. We recommend download Google maps before your trip. The are is beautiful.
