Warm welcoming atmosphere and a great place for friends to catch up and put the world to rights. The staff and regulars are really friendly. This pub could quite easily become our favourite meeting place.

We landed on this pub on Easter Saturday as a family party of eight plus 3m old baby, having hired a canal boat for the day. Although it was mid afternoon and the pub was empty, the staff made us feel welcome and offered us the full menu. The manager was great with our five year old grandson. He obviously... More

Having read several recent poor reviews on the White Lion I felt I had to write about our experience. On 13th March my wife and I, together with our dog, visited the White Lion Pub on a sunny Sunday afternoon, having had a long walk on the nearby Leeds Liverpool Canal, and in need of some refreshment. We had a... More

This pub has one of the best locations in Kildwick near to Skipton and next to the Leeds/Liverpool canal. I took my brother there for lunch and wanted it to be special but it turned out to be a disappointment. I should have realised when I saw litter in the car park that the interior was a biy shabby too... More

We were visiting friends on the nearby canal and this was the ideal location, about 5 mins from the moorings. The hotel is in effect a pub with rooms , 3 in total. We had the family room despite there only being two of us. It was fine , if a little dated. The bathroom was compact but fine and... More

Went in the summer with my friend and her child landlord frightened the 3yr old child by shouting at him in beer garden he was holding on to the bird feeder man said to him don't swing on that I don't care if you fall and smash your head open but your mum might!!

We moored up close by on the canal (hired a boat for a holiday) and called in for our evening meal as we didn't feel like preparing anything ourselves. It was around 6pm and the pub was quiet and we wasn't sure if food was being served, we were informed food was available so we chose a table and selected... More

We arrived towards the end of lunch and there were not many people eating food so it is hard to judge the service. Our food was served quickly and it was exactly what we expected. We had ordered gammon at £8.95 and were given a good portion each. The gammon was tender and it was served with piping hot chips... More
