My brother and i visited the Clearwater Lake Resort for 3 nights in March 2021. It is the perfect choice for fishermen visiting Clearwater Lake. It is located very near the dam spill way and Piedmont Park. There is easy access to the Clearwater Marina, and the Clearwater Market is right around the bend on HH, if you need gas, groceries or fishing supplies. The cabins are spacious, very clean and well maintained. The owner, Ken, is extremely customer friendly and goes out of his way to ensure all visitor's needs are attended to. The resort amenities are perfect for families, couples or fishermen. I highly recommend the Clearwater Lake Resort to all. We plan to make it a regular stop when we're visiting Clearwater Lake.

The cabins are run down. There was mold along the bottom of walls. Bathrooms were very tiny. The bed was horrible, the plastic mattress cover would rattle and make noise Everytime you moved. The couches were broke down and so uncomfortable. The sliding door on cabin 105 doesn't even lock. The only plus to this place is the pool and playground for kids.

Sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. Many people stay with us and enjoy the resort. I would of appreciated you mentioning these concerns you had with us when we spoke at the pool area. Our number one goal is for our customers to leave happy. I have had two local resort owners go through this cabin and all the other cabins to look at the concerns you posted. They both agreed our cabins are just as nice as any they own. Sincerely Ken

We had a very enjoyable time on our visit. I read all who left neg reviews, This is not the Hilton, so if your not into fishing, swimming in lake/rivers or other outdoor nature activities, or just too uptight this isn't the place/area for you. But im gonna leave honest review of our stay. We stayed in cabin 101, morning of check in I had call from owners that they had appointment and didn't think they would be there to meet us but left info on cabin and how to get in. We arrived about 2pm and knowing cabin was ready, got checked in. The cabin was very clean, 2 couches in living room, and tv. (Sm side tables for couches would b nice addition ) kitchen was odd arrangement but functional for vac cabin. ( if you plan on doing much cooking you may need bring few kitchen tools or if you ask owner nicely, he maybe able give ya what you need. But there was no sharp knives, tongs, measuring cups, few othere things one may need. I only made fried ham, egg n cheese bagels for breakfast and i had everything i needed. The only thing is i like ice tea and there was not pitcher, but i just bought one when we went out for dinner at dollar store. We had 2 BR, main had a queen bed very firm mattress, little hard for me but hubby liked it. BR 2 had a twin and a bunk bed. Our adult daughter said twin was fine. And a decent sized bathroom. No, none of it fancy but clean and functional. Outside we went for a walk, pool was closed for season, several play things for young children, mini golf simple but child would have fun there(some could use new carpet) also sm basketball area and I think a game RM attached to our cabin, i didn't go in. When we went for our walk Luzvie can over and said hi, she asked if I had AT&T cell service she could boost our reception which was great I went from no reception to being able to use my internet and text w my son who stayed home. We also met Darrell who took care of a smoked detector that was beeping (battery) in game rm. We spent our full day stay at Sam A Baker park swimming, had a fun time w that. And played board games(We brought) that night in our cabin. Next morning we checked out. We all enjoyed ourselves, and was very comfortable and have talk about wanting to go back next year. Thank you, Darrell and Luzvie, hope to see you next year…

We have been here 6 or 7 times over the last 15 years and never been disappointed. We had 8 people in cabin 102, Grama, grampa, mom, dad, auntie, and 3 children. It was very clean and comfortable. I cannot speak highly enough concerning the owners, Darrell and Luzvie. They are the kindest, hard working, most accommodating hosts you could ever ask for. They have consistently provided any item we ever requested immediately. The cabins are older and rustic, and nicely renovated. Every year there are improvements. The cabins are nestled under lots of shade trees so you will see a bug or a spider or a tree frog. It is not Big Cedar Lodge or Great Wolf Lodge, but it is a beautiful affordable vacation, especially for a large family. There is plenty to do - the lake, the café, meat market!!!, the Canyon in Piedmont, Sam A Baker State Park, and a couple of really good restaurants in town. Can't wait for next year!!!!!…

At least the ants were dead. After showering I put a towel on the floor and it was just covered in dead ants. Their ant bit was all over the floor. The dishes had food stuck on them. Multiple dead flies were on the furniture when we arrived. To return and stay again, someone would have to pay me. My experience is not consistent at all with other reviews. “Fakespot” website judges the authenticity of reviews. Clearwater lake resort gets an “F” on fakespot which indicates that most of the reviews are likely fake. Staying here was really hard on me to deal with. It was gross.

Wow! I've meditated on how I should respond to this absurd review. like a couple others we have had such as one that was one year old and another when we were not open due to flooding, this is yet another. To say that our entire customer base are dishonest is absurd. "The tongue is a fire a world of unrighteous".

We absolutely loved our stay at this resort. It exceeded our expectations. It was very clean and so many things for my 2 year old to do. She loved all the jungle gyms and of course the splash pad! The cabins (we had 106 and 107) we're exactly what we needed and had plenty of room. It felt very homey. Darrell, the owner, was so nice and helped us with anything we needed (like a jumpstart for our car because our battery decided to stop working) and he was available whenever we had any questions. We will definitely be back next year for our family reunion (and bringing some of our other family members). Thanks for the wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at Clearwater Lake Resort. Our cabin was clean and had plenty of room for our family. The resort is close to local attractions and has plenty to do onsite to keep you busy and help you relax-swimming pool, splash/wading pool, put-put golf, swing sets, fire pits, grills, picnic tables. We will definitely be returning.
