The property was great, the room was great. We had loud neighbors, but I didn’t care because by 10pm they were done. The check-in process was fast and easy. Why am I giving it 3 stars? Around 10ish or 1030, sheriff’s showed up at my door. They got a call saying someone saw me abusing my son. I was shocked and taken back. There was nothing that could ever be mistake for that. We were less than 12 hours in on our vacation and this was a horrible way to start. I spoke to the gentleman that watches the property. He saw nothing, and the lobby manager saw nothing. They did not see a police car with two sheriff’s. Not ideal. Wish things went differently, there is a strong chance I would not stay there again based on this instance.

What a wonderful surprise we discovered in this too cute lodge. My family came from Springfield to meet up here; it was half way for both of us. My grandchildren LOVED this place. Ruby the Manager was wonderful to deal with as well as the entire staff. We stayed in the cabin and one of the rooms. Everything was perfect for a Thanksgiving celebration. Not to mention it was nice to have the pub on property so the girls could sneak away for a quick lunch while the kiddos played with their Dad and Grandpa. Will definitely be returning to this hidden gem and see many future memories made here. Thank you Ruby and your staff for making our stay wonderful.

We happened upon this motel on our last night of vacation, and I'm glad we did. The rooms are large and very clean. We had a smoking room that didn't have "that smell". The staff is helpful and friendly, and the lounge is a really cool and relaxing place to have a few drinks. I highly recommend Bullwinkles!

We were stuck on the 2nd floor in a smoking room. So much for requesting a delux king room on first floor, non-smoking. The room smelled, the office smelled, and the breakfast was a joke. We were woken up multiple times last night by people beating on the walls. It was crazy. The room was large but a/c unit couldnt keep up. It was awful.

Our stay at Bullwinkles Lodge was enjoyable. Ann, the office staff, was very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable, the room was spotless. The location was about 10 minutes from The Camp at Lake Wappapello, which is where we wanted to go for activities. While we intended to be closer, the distance made our stay peaceful and still relatively close to the lake. We would definitely stay here again.

I was traveling for personal reasons and we decided to drive until we got tired. I was looking for hotels around this area and the pictures of Bullwinkles caught my eye. I would’ve rated this place 5 stars however, the walls are super thin and I could hear microwave doors shutting, couples talking until 3am, walking around, slamming doors upstairs, and a very loud truck spinning out in the parking lot. Needless to say I was awake at 5 am when people thought it was necessary to yell outside of our room. The beds are comfortable and clean and the room is rustic! No bugs in our room. Pets are not allowed and neither is partying and I could see why. The bar is a nice touch and I have to say I’ll most likely be returning! My husband and I had a bbq pulled pork sandwich with chips and it was delicious! Had a few cold ones and spent some time on their older casino style games and actually won a substantial amount off of $20! The waitress was super polite and professional, even though she was pretty busy. I’d have to say I’d stay at this location again simply due to the hospitality in the bar.…

Went to a wedding in Poplar Bluff. Thought this place was different than the regular motels and the reviews were ok. The motel has been there for a while. The upkeep was pretty good for an older motel. Clean and the staff was really friendly and informative . The people at the bar were friendly. Even talked to some of the locals and made me feel at home. I probably would go back again. The only problem I had was I booked through Booking.com and later called the motel to add another room and it never got put in. Luckly the place was not busy and they had enough room.

Bar staff adds extra on your credit card. Beware place is making extra money on your bar bill. They added over 10.00 to my bill. I ended up calling my credit card and disputing it. Very disappointing.

This customer stole items from the women bathroom. The customer asked about an item in the rest room, but the bartender said it wasn't for sale. 30 minutes later, the item was gone.

Rooms were clean towels freash. TV no bugs and great name. Not very far off the highway quick on and off. Room was about 80 bucks for the night. Nice staff at front desk. Morning coffee and a few continent Al breakfast items.
