Booked this hotel over the phone though Hilton honors. We drove hours to get there only to find out they expected us to pay $60 more dollars than what we agreed to upon booking. This hotel is conveniently located near the Veterans hospital. We have stayed at this property many times with zero issues. They would not honor the rate given at booking. How does a disabled veteran get denied the government rate? They said we must have travel orders. A veteran going to the veterans hospital doesn’t have “travel orders” and this has never happened “business or leisure” Hilton has ALWAYS “honored” their rate! Not at this location. Any business who doesn’t support our military is terrible! I’ll be donating our thousands of points to a family in need. Marriott gave us a room at the government rate with NO hassle! They even asked if we needed free shuttle service to the hospital or to grab dinner! From her on out Marriott has our business! …

This is a very well run and clean place to stay. The town is full of interesting restaurants and is located off the main road. Very quite and is 4 stories and a basement area (called ground floor) We stay here every time we pass this way. Recommend it very highly.

Our entire stay was great! The staff, breakfast, rooms, price and amenities were excellent. My family has stayed in multiple hotels in the town and it's the best hotel in Poplar Bluff in my opinion. Well worth the money.

As with many Hampton Hotels these days, this is is OK but doesn't meet pre-Covid standards. It was OK in every way, but we'd love to see the brand make a concerted effort to bring it back to higher standards.

I made a reservation via laptop, provided credit card and received written confirmation. All this six days in advance of my stay. Hours before I was to check in, they called to tell me they had overbooked and didn’t have the room they confirmed! Bush League and a sure sign of a poorly run business. Stay at the Drury Suites, a much better hotel anyway. Stay away from the Hampton.

I am unsure why the hotel uses an artist's rendering on the hotel on their website rather than an actual photograph. The hotel was not as new as I expected (maybe that is why), but was clean and had an attentive staff from front desk, to Housekeeping, the young man in charge of the breakfast area. The bed was comfortable, the wall mounted towel holder was unique and the breakfast area had the 2 story high ceilings that made for an open-feeling place to eat. Even though it overlooks the parking lot, the better view rooms will end in odd numbers. The staff met all of our accommodation requests, acknowledged our Diamond status and offered complimentary snacks. Rather than individual bottles of shampoo, condition and body wash, there were large containers mounted on the wall inside of the shower. …

We stayed here on our way home from Missouri to Florida. Checked in and Heather at the front desk was absolutely amazing so friendly and thanked us for being Diamond members, offered us water and snacks. Very easy check-in. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast had a good selection. Check out was just as easy, the front desk thanked us for being diamond members again. Would definitely stay here again.

Makayla was at the desk and was very nice and welcoming. When we checked in we asked not to be close to guests with pets. Makayla said ok but upon arriving at our room we found out that there were 2 dogs right across the hall (the people rode up the elevator with us and told us they'd been there for 2 weeks with their dogs - due to a flooding issue at their home). Our room was clean and the water pressure was great. The bathroom sink drains very slow and we told the desk clerk when we checked out. We were in a room with 2 beds and one of them was very soft; the other was fine. The pool looked nice but was not huge.

We didn’t book this stop ahead of time, but the front desk was able to accommodate us. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was good. The young man doing the breakfast was so helpful and friendly. He was young and that is unusual for someone that age. He greeted each guest and asked about them and cleaned used plates for guests. Wonderful service. We did miss the cookies. Some say they aren’t allowed due to covid while other Hampton Inns offer them. Just have gloves or tongs available.
