We were booked into this hotel to be part of wedding. We were surprised that the reservation changed from Crowne Plaza to City Place. Expectations were for a well maintained property. Surprise! Not to be. First room no hot water. Moved to new room, not able to regulate temperature. No stopper for bath tub. No housekeeping and the list goes...

The hotel looks large and spacious, making guests think it will be a semi-luxurious experience. That idea quickly changes by the face of the hotel, the front desk attendees. In our 4 day stay, the front desk employees were unfriendly and unaccommodating. Our room was lacking supplies and it looked as if the cleaning crew had come in and made...

Our reservation was booked months ago when the place bore a Crown Plaza designation. This facility's shortcomings are too numerous to mention. A fresh coat of paint and a smile will not be enough to turn this place around. Old, tired, understaffed, rode hard, broken and unclean are just a few applicable descriptions. On the positive side---no evidence of bed...

The free "wifi" was a joke. Was not able to log on. The business center had 2 computers but only one had a mouse and keyboard AND if you did not have the "code" the computers would not log onto the internet. Even if you could get to the internet the 2 printers did not work. One did not even...

While the view of the Arch from our room was spectacular and the room itself was nice, our interaction with staff and management was as poor as anything I've experienced in 40 years of travel. We departed our room after the typical housekeeping efforts were complete but I stopped at the front desk expressly to ask that our room be...

No hot water, no heat (during cold weather), no blanket, NO Housekeeping service. Employees use main guest elevators. Elevator was filled with Housekeeping carts and/or Room Service carts during very busy times. I was told by a Room Service employee who would not move his cart from blocking the door of the small elevator that he "was told to keep...

Our first problem was that we had reserved with Crowne Plaza to get reward points but it was now City Place and and we would get no points. (We later did receive points by calling Holiday Inn.) The place is old, dirty, and in need of being remodeled! Out lamp didn't work, the heater/AC was ancient (luckily it worked), luggage...

My husband and I stayed here this past weekend, Friday and Saturday night. The lobby/lounge area is really nice, but that's about the only positive thing I'd have to say about this place. I don't mind older hotels that have charm and character, but this was just dirty. Our shower curtain had a brown spot on it that looked like...

If you've read some of the other bad reviews, they are correct! However, where else can you get a 28th floor room, a block from the arch, with a balcony that you can actually go out on for under $100??

No comforter, not enough towels, no hot water, 1 soap. The handicapped shower flooded. Discovered a gross hair and soap scum clog in a filthy drain channel. Got moved to a nicer room. Not happy with this property.
