Just like stepping back in time..Wonderful bed and breakfast to unwind and just relax in. Claw foot tubs, antique beds..And the breakfast is amazing. Can't beat the hospitality of the Innkeepers. Great restaurants within walking distance.

What began as a convenient and leisurely weekend has us looking forward to our standing reservations each Jour de Fete weekend in August. Always a full house. This is our 27th year! Mike and Cathy Hankins are wonderful hosts. We enjoy Mike's history lessons of the Southern Hotel and Cathy's breakfast creations are delicious. They request knowledge of personal diet...

We stayed here for a weekend get-away, but it's not a customer-centric experience. The building and history were wonderful, but we found a pair of men's briefs between bed and a trunk the next morning. Yuck. The only coffee is flavored and not available until 7 am. The bathroom in our room had no wall, just a half-height privacy screen....

My boyfriend and I heard about this place from a family friend, so we booked it for a romantic weekend getaway. It was a lovely stay. The owner, Mike, greeted us at the door and checked us in. Upon arrival, he asked about dietary preferences, which breakfast (sweet or savory) we would like, and which breakfast time (8am or 9am)....

Last minute trip and found this gem !! What a nice B&B in the heart of St.Genevieve. The rooms all had different motifs and were very comfortable. The B&B was built in the late 1700s and all it's charm is still there. The owner/operator Mike was very courteous and you can tell he loved what he does. Breakfast was included...

I didn't like having to get a tour first because it made check-in very long and there were other people waiting to be checked in. I should've checked ahead of time to know there is no TV (No rooms have TV/cable) no wifi (wifi was advertised and the wifi code was available but the signal too weak to join), no...

Fantastic place. Extremely nice people very enthusiastic about the history of the hotel and the area. They had lots of advice about the area. I really appreciate how they constantly had food events. They were extremely nice and set up an extension cord so I could recharge my electric car. While the distance is not a problem at all for...

The owners have brought back a very old hotel. Lots of very old stuff to see and use. The 9' pool table has been used for over 150 years. The 1980s remodel has held up well. We had the Quilt Room. Nice sized third floor room. Only flavored coffee served which was fine with me, but my friend would have...

Really enjoyed our visit to the Southern Hotel in Ste Genevieve. We were the only guests the first night and it was very quiet. Stayed in the Wysocki room. The breakfast is delicious, and so is the coffee. No tv in our room so we played games and read books. It was very enjoyable. Disappointed in Ste Genevieve overall -...

Very much enjoyed this step back in time. I could imagine people exiting the riverboats and making their way to this establishment. Delicious breakfast every morning. Clawfoot tub, old bed frames (our frame was purchased for $2 at a flea market and restored.) Many of the pieces have similar stories. The owners, Mike and Cathy, are very friendly, but unobtrusive....
