This is a great little hotel. It's billed as a boutique hotel and it is a true step back in time. The staff is very helpful and the restaurant is wonderful and the servers are excellent. The lobby is real nice when we were there it was decked out for Christmas. There is a Spa and Bar on site also.The...

This is an older but very charming hotel with a ton of character! Staff was very friendly. Check in was quick. The beds are super comfortable. Wifi connected quickly. We did have a service at the spa again found the staff to be very friendly. Make sure to book a massage in advance especially if doing a couple massage. Stayed...

My friend and I were bicycling the Katy Trail and stayed one night at the Bothwell. We loved it. We had a two bedroom, one bath room. The bathroom was very small and outdated, but that is part of the charm of staying in a historical building. The beds were new and I felt like I was sleeping on a...

It is a cool old hotel to look at but not much else. Staff not overly friendly nor knowledgeable about the area....asked about what to do in the area and was told not much.....good thing I had checked trip advisor about things to do! Hallways smelled like sweaty bodies and a torn down bed was sitting in the hallway when...

We stayed at the Bothwell to revisit my family's old home town. The Bothwell is right on the courthouse square. The lobby is vintage and cute. The staff was very friendly. The rooms are clean but the bed was way too mushy, the baths were small and worn. The windows actually open, which was pleasant. Not much to see or...

I stayed at the Bothwell at the start of a bike trip on the Katy trail. A friend and I took the train with our bikes from St. Louis to Sedalia, arriving around 7:30 pm. We biked from the train station to the hotel, about 3 blocks. The desk staff was very nice, polite, and helpful. The property is old,...

We stayed for three nights on the seventh floor. Our room was evidently an expanded room from the old hotel room layouts, as it had a full bath and a half bath. Being a larger room, you could not really watch the tv in bed, as it was too far away in its credenza. The staff was absolutely wonderful and...

When I saw this hotel was the town where our evening class was being held, I knew I had to stay at it. The décor and fixtures are all Victorian style. The lobby has a two story tall ceiling with crystal chandeliers. The desk clerk asked if I wanted to see the Truman Room in the basement so naturally I...

I was part of a group of 6 women cycling the Katy Trail. When we trooped in with bikes and gear, I expected the staff to curl a lip. But they could not have been more accommodating, even taking our bikes to the basement for overnight storage. The rooms are strictly old school with 2 rooms with a queen bed...
