When you come to Sedalia, Missouri you will do well to stay at Hotel Bothwell. It is the place wherein Jim Prendergast met with Harry Truman and chose him to run for the U.S. Senate. However, there were an abundance of celebrities who stayed at the luxurious hotel via the years. There are stories of "ghosts" in the hotel and...

This is a great little hotel. It's billed as a boutique hotel and it is a true step back in time. The staff is very helpful and the restaurant is wonderful and the servers are excellent. The lobby is real nice when we were there it was decked out for Christmas. There is a Spa and Bar on site also.The...

Once again, this hotel did not disappoint. I've stayed here several times with a meeting with have twice a year, and it was great. The staff is very helpful and the rooms are nice and clean. This is an OLD HOTEL, so do not expect all the modern amenities, but it is very nicely done and I love the atmosphere.

This is an older but very charming hotel with a ton of character! Staff was very friendly. Check in was quick. The beds are super comfortable. Wifi connected quickly. We did have a service at the spa again found the staff to be very friendly. Make sure to book a massage in advance especially if doing a couple massage. Stayed...

My friend and I were bicycling the Katy Trail and stayed one night at the Bothwell. We loved it. We had a two bedroom, one bath room. The bathroom was very small and outdated, but that is part of the charm of staying in a historical building. The beds were new and I felt like I was sleeping on a...

It is a cool old hotel to look at but not much else. Staff not overly friendly nor knowledgeable about the area....asked about what to do in the area and was told not much.....good thing I had checked trip advisor about things to do! Hallways smelled like sweaty bodies and a torn down bed was sitting in the hallway when...

We stayed at the Bothwell to revisit my family's old home town. The Bothwell is right on the courthouse square. The lobby is vintage and cute. The staff was very friendly. The rooms are clean but the bed was way too mushy, the baths were small and worn. The windows actually open, which was pleasant. Not much to see or...

I stayed at the Bothwell at the start of a bike trip on the Katy trail. A friend and I took the train with our bikes from St. Louis to Sedalia, arriving around 7:30 pm. We biked from the train station to the hotel, about 3 blocks. The desk staff was very nice, polite, and helpful. The property is old,...

We stayed for three nights on the seventh floor. Our room was evidently an expanded room from the old hotel room layouts, as it had a full bath and a half bath. Being a larger room, you could not really watch the tv in bed, as it was too far away in its credenza. The staff was absolutely wonderful and...
