The Vib Best Western is part of the new wave of smaller, modern looking hotels that offer smaller, compact rooms that offer all the function of their larger, bigger sister hotels. The room was clean, fresh and filled with necessities for a comfortable stay. However the location of this hotel is terrible based on how close it is to the street and the fact the street is 1/2 block from a main intersection which is used by all emergency vehicles. Last night it sounded like there was a major crisis as I heard sirens all night.
Second negative of the new style hotel are built with poor quality materials and the sound from room to room is loud. The fact that they could have used better sound blocking windows and walls was evident.
The positive parts of the hotel is the great lobby, clean, bright, friendly staff and a great food venue with a bar that gives guest a full service hotel feel. Good gym and good open spaces. Bed was supper comfortable and the addition of a Kurig in each room is a bonus over the badly needed updated coffee machine from history. First time I had a good cup of Joe in a hotel room ever.
Price was great but the location lends itself to lots of road noise, other guest noise and a long night.

Thank you for your recent stay with us at the Vib Chefken69. We're glad to see you had a good stay with us. While we are close to a main artery of the city, it does lend itself to having more traffic while allowing people to get to their destinations faster, so there is a little give and take on that end and while there is sadly little we can do to move the physical location of the hotel we are in talks on ways to better sound proof the hotel both within and without the hotel so that hopefully things can be more peaceful for our guests. This is a brand new concept for Best Western, we're glad to see you enjoyed the spacious lobby and were able to partake in the atmosphere of our restaurant and bar. I'm equally happy to hear that this is the first time you've had a good cup of coffee in a hotel room, we'll keep going with the brand of coffee we've been getting. We hope you'll consider staying with us again the next time you're in Springfield, thank you again for staying and for posting a review of our hotel!

What a great hotel. After 16.5 hours on the road it was easy to check in and they accommodated my request with no questions asked. The room was so nice, loved the rain shower, and the beds were extremely comfy. The staff was knowledgeable and in light of breakfast needing to be modified, grab and go was easy and they had a nice variety. I would 100% stay here again and tell friends. The rooms had a sticker on the door showing it was clean, yes I had wipes and wiped down high touch surfaces but it was very clean already. I had to preteens with me and they enjoyed it too. Lastly I loved how well lit the parking lot was! I only had one night there but very glad I went with this hotel.

Vib Best Western is a bit like a college dorm that's been redecorated with IKEA furnishings. It's trying very hard to be a higher end hotel but failing. The room is too small for anything but a desk chair. We brought travel bags rather than suitcases, which was fortunate since there's no room for them. The shower...well, read the other reviews. We booked on Expedia, which said they had breakfast included.There is coffee in the lobby, but the only creamer is sweetened Coffee Mate, and the breakfast is packaged pastries from Sam's Club and some fruit. There are only 2 outlets that I can find, and only one side of the bed has an outlet. The lighting concept in the rooms is the worst. There are four mini reading lights that are very bright and very focused (like car headlights in the dark) and a built in modern fluorescent light in a corner. No soft lamp light. The only plus is that the bed is comfortable, which is a good thing since it's the only place to sit. I chose this place because the overall review I saw was 4.4 stars. Nope.

As a couple in our mid 60s, we're not the typical demographic that this hotel would normally cater to. It is modern European (think Ikea) but was clean, convenient, & safe. The bed was very comfy. Since it was close to a major intersection, there were emergency vehicles during the night so adjusting the fan to continuous helped. The shower was small-a bigger person would have difficulty with it. I also really like a strong stream of water but knowing that this was an energy saving model, understood the waterfall shower. Overall it was a great experience and we'll stay again!

I greatly appreciate the fact that, while you were dissatisfied with some aspects like the shower pressure on our rainfall showers and while you are correct with us being close to a major intersection of the city there is a little more traffic then usual, you did not let it detract it from your stay. We've all worked long and hard to create the best experience we can to all of our guests and while the demographic was set for a more millennial clientele we have quite our fair share of older folk that absolutely enjoy it and look forward to coming back. the hotel is well constructed and nicely laid out. the café has reasonably priced and delicious food. You will find a versed selection of beers on tap, a decent liquor selection, and large TV's at the bar. They have a fitness center but I did not use it; again, all new so it looked nice. The rooms are not what one would call spacious, but having stayed at my share of hotels abroad, I can confidently say they are true to the European/chic form. The room was clean and well stocked with amenities, but at 5'11" and 200 lbs I was not a good fit for the all glass square shower. Breakfast was prepackaged Danish, assorted fresh fruit and orange juice. Overall, very modern, unique and quality minded.

To start this trip off a sign was given to me which I didn't respond to. Talked with front desk by phone and the lady was so rude and disrespectful. I'm sure the reviews of other guests were correct. This associate should be shown the door because she is surely in the wrong line of work.
The walls of these rooms do hold back noise. I was continuously woke up. I checked on some of the noises and they were from people all the way done at the end of the hall. I would of sworn they were just outside my door. Then after 2a things were quiet enough to fall back asleep to be woke at 6a when people were leaving and I guess checking out. If a pin drops you will hear it.

Didnt think to write a review, as a stayed there a while back, but I remembered this and figured others should just be aware.
Hotel had a very "hostel" type of appearance, which was unique. It was in a bit of a seedy area, based on some of the nearby establishments. Staff was nice. Major issue I saw was the glass restroom, where you can see someone taking a shower or using the toilet from the bed area- as in clear view (top of glass wall is not frosted in the slightest). The issue is, it's a surprise. This concept should not be present in rooms with two beds, as there could be multiple people staying there. I guess it's designed for couples. I stayed for business, so I was booked by our company. Sharing a room with friends or other business associates could have been pretty awkward, especially because it was so unexpected. For example, nobody would expect that if they pulled up the vinyl blind from the bed area they would be able to see their coworker showering! Shouldn't another set of vinyl blinds be on the inside of the restroom? Totally unnecessary concept, really. Consider completely frosting the bathroom and placing additional blinds inside the restroom and shower. Allow people to have complete privacy in such a private space.

Dear 73pearcej, Thank you for staying at Vib and thank you for the review. All of our showers have frosted glass. There is a 4 inch strip at the bottom and a 6 inch strip at the top that is not frosted. You would either have to be down on your hands and knees or standing on a chair to see into the shower. If someone traveling with you is not comfortable being in the room while you are in the shower we invite that person to take advantage of our lobby. Many people enjoy the fare from Wheelhouse or a signature coffee from Keen Bean Coffee or to catch up on their favorite game in our EASports gaming center. Thank you again for staying at Vib.

Efficient, contemporary, and comfortable rooms. I understand that this is a newer property and it obviously incorporates some features into the room that you don't find in older properties, like numerous USB ports, touch lighting at the headboard of the bed, Keurig coffee maker in room, safe, etc. etc.

Rooms were clean. Great caring staff. Very customer oriented atmosphere. Great location. Easy to walk for dining or entertainment. The only barrier was that we were still in a semi lock down state so could not use all amenities. Will stay again in the near future.
