This spring hill suites hotel is an excellent road side choice. New & very nice decor & colors. Staff was nice. Room was top notch considering the hotel category. Nice fitness room. Breakfast was ok. Holiday inn express does a better breakfast. But the springhill is a nicer place.
Quick check in. We loved the room layout. The bed, covering and pillows were perfect as usual. Very clean, neat and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Easy highway access. We're looking forward to our next stay here!
This hotel was very new and clean. However, the pool I do not think is safe for people to swim in. The level of chlorine in the room makes your eyes burn just sitting in there. My kids could only stand it for about 15 minutes before they were complaining about the burning sensations. The pool is also very small. We did not have enough pillows in our room for all 4 of us - we had to call down to the front desk 3 times to get enough pillows/sheets for the pull out bed situation. The front desk attendant told us "we have no extra pillows". There were no extra pillows or blankets in the room. The king sized bed was very comfortable, the pull out bed was very uncomfortable. Breakfast was sub par. Definitely disappointing. There was an overwhelming number of staff there, I felt like I was in their way there were so many of them. Many of them were chatting it up with boyfriends/friends, eating, I'm not sure what was going on but it did make us uncomfortable. The location is pretty desolate, you can't walk to anything and it's about 10 minutes to drive to restaurants.…
This hotel is fairly new. The room has USB ports just about everywhere. The bed and pillows were great, the breakfast was good. The staff was nice. Did not use the pool and there is no hot tub. We would stay here again. The location is in a nice spot.
Here is the Springhill Suites facility to measure other Springhill Suites by. Beautiful building and grounds, superb staff, exceptionally appointed room furnishings, delicious hot breakfast entrees along with a convenient location next to the interstate (which we could not hear from our 3rd floor room!). Thanks, everyone, for a restful, relaxing overnight.
We stayed here one night and were pleasantly surprised about how nice it was. The rooms are beautiful and well designed. The beds were comfy. the room was quiet even though the hotel was so close to the Interstate. We were facing west and could not hear any cars or trucks. The breakfast was typical fare, but all was good. I'd return again.
Beautiful new hotel. Was greeted by Tony at the front desk who was more than helpful in finding me a room for the night. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Also quiet , couldn't hear and road noise from the outside. Would highly recommend stopping here if you are in need of a place to rest.
Our first overnight stay for our drive from Chicago to Phoenix. Location is very convenient, right off the interstate. Room was clean and we felt comfortable with the COVID protocol. The hotel meets the Springfield standards. Breakfast was pack to go. We will stay again if we drive the same route to return.
Our high school sports team traveled to Springfield for the State Championship game in the fall of 2020. Of course, we had very little time to plan and were surrounded by COVID regulation. Upon my exploratory call, I was ushered over to Melany who was more than accomodating with booking same-floor rooms, providing use of a conference room so the girls were not congregating in public spaces, confirmation that bag breakfasts had sufficient food for the athletes, and lastly, READY room keys for all guests upon our late-night arrival. All of the staff was friendly and proficient. The rooms and common spaces were clean and well kept. I book many team hotels each year and this one ranks at the top for sure!
We did not love it or did we hate it. We would not stay again as nothing memorable. The room reminded me of time New York City rooms or very functional in Japan. Some things did not make sense, so not sure what the designers were thinking. The rooms are all identical (nothing available as upgrades for Platinum) and not what I consider a suite. My side of the bed had a built in shelf with the phone on it. In order to plug in my charger, I had to climb under the shelf to get to the outlet. Not just lean in but actually climb under. The bathroom was long with a really nice shower, and really narrow vanity next to the small sink. The door was a glass frosted sliding barn door. That means when someone gets up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, the bright light from the bathroom floods the room with light through the frosted glass. The window curtains are not designed to cover the entire window, so a foot does not have curtains, thus allowing that morning sun to wake you. We are used to black out curtains...or at least ones that completely close. There is no daily service or breakfast served, thus only a tiny container of shampoo and conditioner, and 2 tiny bars of soap....even for a family of 3. We had to go down daily to ask for more. The positives were a very comfortable bed, great pillows, fluffy and clean comforter, huge futon for sleeping (but even though we requested the extra bedding when reserving, we still had to go back to the front desk to get it) and the room/lobby was clean/fresh/new. The price was on the higher side, yet they have laid off housekeeping and discontinued the breakfast (both supposed to be included in the price). I understand there is a pandemic so would like to see the nightly fee reduced when the service/benefits are reduced. Excellent front desk service, and when we mentioned that the price did not seem to reflect the limited services available, he said that with less people traveling the hotel still needed the income to cover costs. Housekeeping and service people were laid off, but were getting unemployment so when the extra $600 was included, they made more not working than working so everyone was ok. This just all does not make common sense to me....but that is another issue. We won't pick this hotel again as it was just too small and "compact" for the price. It is clean though, which is a huge plus.…
