Hotel's Favourite
Was going on a road trip from Tennessee to Kansas and had picked this hotel as a one-night stopover. However, we ended up liking it so much that we stayed here two nights (drove into Kansas for the day and drove back). Room was clean and comfortable. Pool area was nice. Staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. Area was safe and had several nice restaurants in walking distance (highly recommend the Greek one). The complimentary breakfast was good too

We stopped for the night on our way to Liberty, MO at this property. Very modern feel with wide open space downstairs, brightly lit and nicely decorated. Coffee bar was available with good Hilton coffee. Indoor heated pool (which we didn't use unfortunately), and a nice seating area outside under string lights.
Our room was a king, and for 2 of us road tripping seemed almost a bit claustrophobic since we had come from a warm climate to much cooler and had extra items. But-as expected, the bed was amazingly comfortable. Bathroom is brightly lit and features dispensers of hand soap, lotion, shower gel and shampoo. Everything was spic and span clean, and staff was masked and distanced. We didn't take advantage of any of the prepackaged food offerings in the morning (we instead visited Gailey's downtown).
This property is located about 2 blocks from a quaint downtown "Main Street" area which has little taverns/restaurants/shops, etc. It is also right in the midst of student housing areas, but the area is safe, clean and very well kept.

We had a Do Not Disturb sign on the door and housekeeping was knocking on our door at 9:15am. This was softer checking in at midnight and specifically asking the front desk to make sure we wouldn’t be disturbed. Too many employees with beeping wallow talkies making noise close to guest rooms. Nice hotel but all gets lost in poor management.

Clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff and a great location just off Greek Row at Missouri State.
The staff went above and beyond to see that our needs were met. Everyone was friendly and kind.
We were initially worried that Tru would have a rowdy college crowd based on how crowded the lobby was on a Saturday night
We were pleasantly surprised that the clamor of the college crowd did not carry. The upper floors were mostly quiet.
The bed was *AMAZING*. I couldn't stay awake. Blackout shades were a design win. The room had a large bathroom with plenty of counter space and ample soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion containers.
All in all it was worth the money. We will definitely stay here again.

Nice, new property with a free breakfast. Location is near downtown Springfield which is a plus. Room was an okay size for the three of us but would be small for a family of four. Flooring was a laminate which I thought was great. The only downside was cleaning. The floor under the bed could have been cleaner and during breakfast, the attendant kept the food supply full but didn't wipe down empty tables as people finished.
I'd stay again but would hope that employees were encouraged to pay closer attention to cleanliness.

This hotel has free parking in a large parking lot, it is close to a lot of springfield attractions. The hotel is brand new and served its purpose. The rooms are small but contain many amenities to allow for personal belonging storage. There is no restaurant within the hotel, however there are snacks in the lobby as well as games to play.

My experience at the new Tru hotel in Springfield was excellent. I highly recommend staying there, especially if you are in town to visit an MSU student or attend a university event. It is also near downtown and easy access to restaurants. The included breakfast buffet had fun options like a waffle station and plenty of healthy options including fresh fruit, yogurt and oatmeal as well. There is fresh fruit free all the time along with coffee, tea and hot cocoa. The lobby area is warm and inviting. Service was also excellent!

We booked our hotel on the 21st of February for the 27th. I recieved the email to digital check in but was unable to due to a website error. We arrived the night of the 27th around 815pm but were not able to check in due to lack of clean rooms. The lady at the front desk stated it was because we just booked it. I informed her we booked a week ago and she said she wasnt sure then. We waited over 20 min while our room was being clean.
While I am glad they took time to clean, the lack of compassion or understanding from the lady at the front desk was fusterating. When we finally were able to check in my husband asked if we could get a discount and she giggled and ignored the question.
We got to our room as the gentlemen was finishing up cleaning it. He was extremely polite, apologized for the inconvenience and let us know they were accidently overbooked.
The room itself was nice and peaceful. It was a great place to relax after a weekend full of wedding activites.

AC unit in room did not remove humidity, it only cooled. With a 70* dew point it was like being in a cold sauna. These heat/cool units require a humidity removal kit to remove humidity, something that was never purchased or installed…..I know a bit about HVAC
No laundry facilities in hotel, thats inexcusable for a brand new Tru hotel and leaves guests to fend for themselves with dirty clothes
Rooms and amenities are sparse and very basic but hotel charges just as much as higher end hotels packed with amenities.
It was very clean though….but smelled due to high humidity in rooms

I made a mistake of booking my room a day before I was staying. I booked for 2-16, when I thought I booked for 2-17. As soon as I realized I made the mistake, I called hoping they would work with me and transfer my reservation without charging me the no show fee. I know they have rules they need to abide by and I know they are in the business to make money, I understand that. When I explained my situation , they were rude and would not budge. I had to call my daughter in college and let her know I would no longer be able to come down and visit her after not seeing her for months, due to being fully charged for the night before and not being able to afford two nights.
we always stay at Hiltons, but now they have lost a customer and I know that one customer is not many in their large scheme of things, but I also did not expect to be treated so rudely. I also know they have the ability to modify reservations and not to charge me for two nights. If you do not bend you break.
