Perfect for our family of 4, we had a one bedroom with two queens, our son preferred to sleep on the pull out sofa and have his own area for the night. The room was clean, the beds were a bit stiff but comfortable. Glad I brought my own pillow as they were a bit soft for my taste. The biggest plus was the full buffet breakfast. Besides scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes and hash browns there was hot oatmeal with all the fixings, various cereals, muffins, etc.. Thank you Residence Inn!

Okay - let me first preference that I'm pretty picky about where I lay my head at night but understand no place is going to be perfect. However, this hotel is definitely one of those gems that any family would love to stay at. The hotel seems like it has been renovated as the carpet is clean/new and the lobby was beautiful. We stayed in the 2 room suite and it was sparkling clean. Kudos to the person who cleaned the room as it was almost SPOTLESS. In addition to the awesome room, the breakfast was spot on. Eggs, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, cereal, portioned out fruit, wrapped up bagels, coffee, etc - our kiddos and I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. Thank you for an awesome stay. We will be back soon!

We arrived here in the evening to an amazing cheerful person at the front desk. Her name was Lillith. She was so sweet and sunshine on a cloudy day. You never know what just being nice can do to someone's day. We were tired and sleepy and just got off the road passing through for a one night's stay and man was she just what my family needed. The room was very nice. The next morning we were greeted by housekeeping in the hall who spoke to us, as well as someone else at the front desk as soon as we got off the elevators. This place looks like another small hotel from the outside, but boy do they need to train people at the larger hotels. They get an A+.

I stayed at the Residence Inn for six days while I was in Springfield on business. I purposely booked a studio suite because it had a full stove/oven that I intended to use on my extended stay. When I arrived to check-in, however, I was told that they overbooked their studio suites. Instead, they “upgraded” me to a one bedroom room. The one bedroom room only had a two burner stove and no oven. When I told the on duty manager this (he didn’t even know which rooms had a full stove/oven in the first place) he informed me I could check back during my stay to see if a studio opens up. He did not offer an apology for my inconvenience.

I also was looking forward to using the hot tub while I was in town. They advertise online that their pool is seasonal but I saw reviews where people used the hot tub during winter months so I believed the hot tub was open year round. Again, only upon arrival did I find out that the hot tub is also seasonal and was closed.

The room itself was adequate although they don’t give you trash bags or dish soap in the kitchen. Which means throwing food away can get messy and you can’t really hand wash your dishes. They also gave me an adjoining room and I could hear the people talking in the room next to me through the door, so much so that I always had to stay in the bedroom to avoid listening in to other people’s conversations. Also, the complimentary HBO Go never worked during my stay.

Needless to say, I was a bit disappointed with my stay. I will be coming back to Springfield in the future for business and unfortunately I’m not sure I will stay here again.

They dont clean your rooms. Its so dirty. The moment you walk in you see hair everywhere in the bathroom and you can smell the room smells like poop. Also, they ask you for feedback or suggestions how they can make it better they are not willing to listen to it. The supervisor there is so rude. Be AWARE booking your stay they would just randomly charge you without permission on which card you are going to use for the stay. I tried disputing a charge and they said there’s nothing we can do about it. They will tell you on check in they would only need your card just for incidental damage even if you already have 2 cards given to them. They wont confirm which one before leaving the hotel.

Not a bad spot and alot of room. Room had some issues including handle messed up, smoke alarm hanging from ceiling, no trash can liners. Limited apps om smart tvs. Bed was comfortable. Hearing kids in hallway past midnight and woken up at 8 am while on vacation by kids playing basketball outside of my window. Breakfast was so so and often ran out of items including coffee. Staff announced the breakfast was ending in 10 minutes and we felt like rushed cattle and not guests. Let front desk lady at check out know of some of my issues and she was nice but offered nothing to us. On top that charged for parking when it was disclosed when room was reserved or at check in. This is not in an area that normally charges to park in a open parking lot and no one ever asked if we had a vehicle there overnight. My car was actually with a local friend so I was charged $3 for nothing. Really dissatisfied In the stay and room.

The one bedroom suite felt tight—there wasn’t much room between things so it made the room uncomfortable. We visited the pool area a couple times but only once in water since it was cloudy and the filter weren’t running. Normally the Residence Inn is a good choice because they cater to business travelers who spend a lot of time in hotels, but this one whiffed at the opportunity for our repeat business. And to top it off—they add $1.50/day for parking which seems like a nuisance fee. There are too many hotels in Springfield to stay here again.

COVID-19 update...Masks are still required. HOT Breakfast is served to you on a plate and covered with saran wrap. Pool is outdoor and closed at the time of this review. Staff is very friendly especially the team member serving Breakfast!

We stayed in a 2 bed suite. The bedroom is separate from the living room/kitchen. Rooms also have patio/balconies depending on what floor you are on. The only thing that I didn’t like was that the sofa bed had 1 thin blanket that couldn’t reach across the entire bed. It was freezing.

This hotel has been getting progressively worse over the past 2 years. I am a loyal Marriott Bonvoy memeber (Titanium Elite) and will not stay here again. Every year Marriott awards me 5 suite upgrades. This hotel refuses to grant/honor them regardless of availability. They've told me that they like those rooms to be available to spur of the moment travelers. Interesting to know that they value them over loyal customers. This hotel (a Residence Inn mind you) charges for parking. This is hilarious. This is a rural hotel with a vacant restaurant next door. Parking is overly plentiful. To charge for parking at a rural hotel on the outskirts of town is petty. Today's stay was extra lousy. When I went to take a shower I let the water run for 15 minutes and it was still ice cold. When I called the front desk they said that they've been having that problem for awhile but that they're "waiting on a part." Can't believe that the local Home Depot doesn't have a part for a water heater. But...why would they not tell me that when I checked in? My only guess is that they were hoping I wasn't going to shower and not notice. When I asked to shower in a different room they said they'd allow me to shower in a different room on a different floor at the other end of the hotel but that I have to come get the key. I explained that I would then have to get dressed again they then greed to run a key to my room. The worker who did was rude. I feel like this hotel must have new owners or management and they are cheap and running the place into the ground. It's a shame what they've done to what was once a decent hotel.

The Residence Inn Springfield has a seasonal outdoor pool that will reopen in May. Our sister property, the Courtyard by Marriott has a lovely indoor pool however if you need it during the winter months. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
