I have been here for the third time and this is the worst out of all the motel, no breakfast. Over month ago, the room that was use for breakfast, flooded, coffee only, direct tv isn’t working other guests having problems too, the owner I’ve seen, don’t care about his guests, the only good thing was seeing front desk Kim, she is super nice,
I checked in to the Red Roof Inn after cancelling a reservation with another hotel over various issues upon check-in. Despite the fact there were two major events in town that weekend, I was able to get a room at a reasonable rate right then and there through the clerk on duty, Kim. And even better, the room and the entire hotel was clean throughout (actually much cleaner than some more expensive hotels I've stayed at). I will definitely be coming back on my next trip to Springfield.
The room was small and "clean". It had a weird smell to the room. Like a musky old smoke smell. The staff was pleasant, continental breakfast was a joke. Works if your only passing through. I wouldn't recommend for a family.
The bed was a full size from 1950's and you could feel the springs....super small room, paid for two people, got one towel, washcloth.....80 dollars for a room that wasn't ready until 4 hours after we tried to check in!
for a low cost hotel this was clean and comfortable. It was my first experience with Red Roof Inns. I would check out another Red Roof Inn as a result of my experience here in Springfield MO. Having a dog it was nice to see no rugs in our unit. I believe the bed was fairly new, firm and comfortable. I would recommend this Inn as comfortable low cost Inn that allows dogs with no extra fees.
This place doesn't look like typical Red Roof since it has interior corridors instead of external doors like most of them. The room itself is quite clean with a mini fridge and ice machine in the hallway. The wall heater worked well. The one nice perk is that the WiFi is VERY fast like around 100 Mbps, so it will have no problem streaming your Netflix and YouTube videos. The only downside is there are queen beds and I am used to sleeping in a king bed. I also wish they didnt charge $100 for security deposit since most Red Roofs won't do this.
This particular Red Roof has a couple different architectural features than the ones we are familiar with in the Chicagoland area. For that reason alone, I am surmising this is a newer building. It reminded us a lot of what the more current upscale motel motif looks like. It is a very nice motel. We found the room to be particularly large and fairly well appointed. The linens and towels seem to be new and the simulated wooden floors were very well taken care of. One down side…….even though the room had 2 queen size beds, the sleep quality wasn’t great. We were told that the motel was occupied by a lot of people from the dog show and their dogs. We never heard a barking dog but our neighbor next door did keep us up half the night with his human noises. And I don’t mean “honeymoon sounds”. As a Red Roof, I would certainly classify it as better than average.…
My stay was great and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Prentice was awesome and the morning host that left notes about my arrival to the second shift. The rooms were nice and clean. I’d definitely recommend
Really enjoyed my stay at red roof inn. Clean, and staff are very helpful. Especially when dealing with George 976, outstanding service, really friendly and goes above and beyond to be helpful. Great .
We booked on Priceline.com and it said room was originally $179 a night so we felt like getting it for $80 was a steal. The pictures looked great and they allowed pets. The hotel is located in what I would consider the not so good part of Springfield. I didn't feel safe taking my dog outside at night without my husband. The front desk lady was very nice. They had free breakfast but we slept in so don't know how it was. The bed was comfortable enough. Thin blanket and small pillows. The AC didn't cool like it should have but I had a fan so it was better. Did have Directv. The ceiling was stained from what looked liked leaks. Overall ot shouldn't be $80 a night but was okay for one night stay.
