Detailed Reviews
for a low cost hotel this was clean and comfortable. It was my first experience with Red Roof Inns. I would check out another Red Roof Inn as a result of my experience here in Springfield MO. Having a dog it was nice to see no rugs in our unit. I believe the bed was fairly new, firm and comfortable. I would recommend this Inn as comfortable low cost Inn that allows dogs with no extra fees.

This particular Red Roof has a couple different architectural features than the ones we are familiar with in the Chicagoland area. For that reason alone, I am surmising this is a newer building. It reminded us a lot of what the more current upscale motel motif looks like. It is a very nice motel. We found the room to be particularly large and fairly well appointed. The linens and towels seem to be new and the simulated wooden floors were very well taken care of. One down side…….even though the room had 2 queen size beds, the sleep quality wasn’t great. We were told that the motel was occupied by a lot of people from the dog show and their dogs. We never heard a barking dog but our neighbor next door did keep us up half the night with his human noises. And I don’t mean “honeymoon sounds”.
As a Red Roof, I would certainly classify it as better than average.

On the surface room looks nice but its dirty. Bathroom especially, you have to ask for cleaning and the cleaning products are not the best, toilet always looked dirty and you wouldn't want to bathe in the tub. The shower curtain got so stinky I washed it myself. The air conditioning worked but was irregular, linens were in bad shape, holes in the skimpy towels, bedding stained, pillows
as old as the fifties. I stayed from 8.4 to 8.31.23 and during that time my windsheild was broken I believe with a rock by a guest. Manager wouldn't file a claim for me. I need a full replacement. Then a few days later on hot days I had my auto windows down 3" and someone, again probably a guest stole the window shades from the car which I use to keep bright light off my dash.
There security amounts to nothing.
Wishing I hadn't come here. I am out $250 for the windshield unless corp . accepts the claim.

Thank you for sharing Debra. The team at the RED ROOF INN SPRINGFIELD MO were saddened to know that your stay was not ideal. You made mention uncleanliness, poor security and inadequate housekeeping. However you stated the air conditioning worked and the surface of the room looked nice. Know that your voice is of tremendous importance to us and we value your comments which will help us to continuously improve our services and make our guest experiences better. Thank you for bringing up your concerns and all the best in your future travels. Sincerely, Kerry-Lee RediResponse Specialist

This place doesn't look like typical Red Roof since it has interior corridors instead of external doors like most of them. The room itself is quite clean with a mini fridge and ice machine in the hallway. The wall heater worked well. The one nice perk is that the WiFi is VERY fast like around 100 Mbps, so it will have no problem streaming your Netflix and YouTube videos. The only downside is there are queen beds and I am used to sleeping in a king bed. I also wish they didnt charge $100 for security deposit since most Red Roofs won't do this.

It was reasonably clean and the staff was very friendly. As a house cleaner by profession, the bathroom wasn’t as clean as I would have liked, but it was livable and nothing worth really complaining about. There was no real breakfast in the mornings aside from some orange juice in a mini fridge, some packaged muffins and some bananas, but the second morning the front desk person offered me some packaged muffins since he hadn’t put anything out at all except the bananas from the previous morning. Overall, it was a decent experience and I would stay here again

Dear Wanderer05206139994, It’s nice to see that the cleanliness of the rooms here at Red Roof were convenient to you and that you found our staff to be friendly, however, the issues that you’ve highlighted regarding the cleanliness of the bathroom and the breakfast options not meeting your expectations are truly regrettable. We always aim to deliver the best quality of service to our guests, so I am disappointed that you felt that was not achieved for you. Our team is committed to satisfying our guests, so we are very thankful for your feedback. We hope that you will give us the opportunity to provide you with a better experience here at Red Roof the next time you’re in the area. +1
Stayed here many times when it was a Microtel Inn and once about 3-1/2 years ago when it changed to a Red Roof. It was never anything fancy but this visit ugh - first floor king room we were given smelled so bad (stale smoke(?) in a non-smoking room) we moved to 2nd floor king room. Bed was comfortable, pillows were old and flat. Only one hand towel provided for two people. Shower head is very low and not good for anyone over 5' tall. Killed several gnats flying in bathroom sink upon arrival. A plastic lid was frozen at the back of the freezer compartment in the fridge. No channel guide provided but ALL channels on the TV pixeled up constantly so watching any TV was useless. We mentioned this to the desk clerk and got the look of a deer in headlights so just didn't pursue it any further. Blood stain on one of the pillowcases, GROSS!! Room appeared clean on the surface but check out the photos included with this review. The area that used to provide a nice hot breakfast for guests . . . now only coffee, packaged muffins and bananas. We won't stay here again as it has gone downhill from the previous years when we've stayed multiple times traveling to and from Texas.

Stayed here on a Saturday night. Reserved a king bed non-smoking, but first room had a bad smell, penetrating. I asked for another room and they were very accommodating, gave me a king bed handicap accessible, no smell. Room was clean, bed was quite good, TV was great, with a guide that actually worked. Watched football, but they did not pay for the SEC channel. Internet was great also, 100+ MB/s. Good hot water, location excellent. It's a rebranded MicroTel.

My husband and I paid about $70 to stay here with our golden retriever. We chose to stay here because pets stay free. I will say this is an economy hotel. The room was “a level of clean that I felt was appropriate for the price point & did not smell bad. The beds were comfortable (and I can be picky about mattresses.) The front desk woman was very nice and helpful. If you are on a budget I would stay here again. I probably wouldn’t stay here, as a women w/o my husband.

I checked in to the Red Roof Inn after cancelling a reservation with another hotel over various issues upon check-in. Despite the fact there were two major events in town that weekend, I was able to get a room at a reasonable rate right then and there through the clerk on duty, Kim. And even better, the room and the entire hotel was clean throughout (actually much cleaner than some more expensive hotels I've stayed at). I will definitely be coming back on my next trip to Springfield.
