IMPRESSIVE new hotel with a WONDERFUL staff
- - - - - - - -
August, 2024 Visit
My wonderful wife and I enjoyed a fantastic getaway weekend to Springfield and Branson… 47 hours of fun!
We were able to reserve one night in Branson, and my wife then found this new hotel in Springfield… and it is NICE!
I had not heard of Element before; it’s a chain from the Westin side of Marriott and it’s nice.
This hotel only opened in January, 2024; this is the newest hotel I’ve ever stayed in… so new it still had “new construction smell” in a few places (not overwhelming… just nice and evoked memories of moving into new homes in the past…).
Many hotel rooms are shaped more like a rectangle; the Element’s rooms are slightly more square shaped, and are noticeably larger. Our room had a mini kitchen, with a 5-foot size refrigerator, a two-burner glass cooktop, microwave, and cooking utensils. The bathroom was more roomy than most, too.
The entire hotel has a green / “closer to nature” theme (my term), which is done well, is not overdone, and which is consistent throughout the property.
The lobby is tall and open and bright; the breakfast space is set up nicely… most of the non-heated food is presented on wheeled, wooden carts; hot food is available from the kitchen window, accessible from the sliding barn doors. They have a good mix of eggs, meats, pancakes… and gluten-free options, too. The juices are on a refrigerated flat-surface appliance (neat!), and the cream. And milk in insulated bottles with wood/bamboo exteriors.
Like many hotels, the shower has only liquid soaps in a pump… no bars… that’s understandable. The sink still has soap bars… and I don’t often notice the scents, but the bar of soap and the lotion smell incredibly good. Thank you to the Manager for gettin a few bottles of lotion for my wife to bring home!
The woman working the breakfast area that early August Saturday morning was most friendly and welcoming and gracious in serving us. She also helped us appreciate that she likes this property the best of the several hotel properties she’s worked at, in part because the Element’s attention to quality… things like three-time filtered water throughout the property.
We definitely like this property and now know we don’t need to sleep in Branson each night of a trip… Springfield has much to see on its own right and staying at the Element Springfield South provides great access to the World’s Largest Fork, the home of cashew chicken and more.
Thank you, Element Springfield South!

I booked this hotel as a travel agent. I would recommend it to all of my clients. It is friendly and clean, has excellent amenities, and has beautiful rooms. The kitchenette in the room was such a blessing when we wanted to make a quick bite to eat at night but didn't want to eat at a restaurant. There is no oven, but the stovetop makes cooking something warm for the family easy. A full-size refrigerator, soft beds, and adjustable wall-mounted TV that we could easily use our firestick to watch our favorite shows made this feel like "home" for a few days. The only negative I could find was that the shower is glass, so there is no privacy if anyone needs to get something from the bathroom while someone else is taking a shower. I highly recommend staying here! It is a beautiful drive to Branson, and we enjoyed the views of the Ozarks while we went to see the shows! Please ignore any reviews about noise. It was normal traffic noise outside; we weren't kept awake. Also, we were surrounded by rooms with kids, and once our hotel door was closed, we never heard them.

I stayed 1 night while visiting my college daughter. New hotel. Super clean. Comfortable beds. A/C actually made room cold. Great smell - evidently they pipe in a scent. On main road yet quiet and safe despite being in Springfield! Super close to Parlor Doughnuts.

Great rooms looks like a pretty newish hotel.
The rooms are a decent size with a full kitchen (no laundry facilities in the room) we had a king size suite with a king size pull out sofa, we had to ask for an extra quilt for the extra bed as only a blanket was offered.
The bed was very comfortable with great pillows however, we had a “City View” room which basically meant we faced right out onto a VERY BUSY and NOISY road unfortunately I didn’t get to sleep till around 4am due to the noise.
The king sofa bed when pulled out leaves very little space so if you need to be able to walk around the bed that’s just not going to happen, but if it’s not a mobility issue for you then it’ll be fine.
The blurb states that the windows can be opened but ours appeared to be shut tight, jammed in some sort of way with no latch even although there was mesh on the outside, so basically sliding windows which didn’t slide!
The bathroom has a great shower with the controls at he other end so you can switch on before getting in, great bit of forward thinking by someone in design; the sink plug was an issue when we tried to fill the sink it just kept draining away, just little niggles in things that could easily be fixed.
Breakfast in the morning was a tad chaotic although a BIG shout out to the lady on the morning 6th April who made me fresh cooked fluffy pancakes and then brought them over to me for which I was grateful as the hotel was full of soccer kids and parents.
There is an indoor pool and gym which was in full use and looked like it had decent equipment.
Fundamentally this could be a decent hotel if they get things sorted.
But please get better luggage carts the ones on offer are small, have wheels that operate by themselves and have no intention on going in the direction you want and please make sure your hot water pitcher is used for only hot water as a non coffee drinker all I could taste when I made a cup of tea was coffee!
Reception staff were polite and courteous and helpful.

Just because it looks great on the outside does not mean it is nice on the inside. Thin walls, heard the people next door brushing their teeth, drying their hair and talking on the phone. The one nice thing about this hotel was there was plenty of storage. Not the friendly staff when we checked in, not bad just wasn't the normal friendly staff you get at other Marriott locations.

Just stop looking at other hotels! This place is brand new, clean, fresh, and the employees are fantastic. We’ve stayed at dozens of hotels in Springfield and this is easily our new favorite. Rooms are very chic/modern and the entire hotel avoids plastics with ceramic coffee cups & real glasses. The gym is perfect with lots of equipment and even an indoor pool. The breakfast scene is like nothing I’ve seen in a hotel with “free breakfast”. It’s really a completely different experience. Happy hour (Mon-Thurs) is amazing as well, which brings me to my favorite part of the hotel. The hotel bartender, Heidi, made the best part of our trip - we love her! We stayed here a total of three nights, and we felt like we were family with all the regulars that were at the bar each night.
Finally, we had one tiny problem with our shower the first night we were here. However, Jackie (general manager) made it a breeze by switching us to a similar room on the same floor making it a stress-free issue.
Overall, an outstanding experience that makes us want to come back as soon as we can - amazing experience! (We love you Heidi)

This was our first visit to Element Springfield South. My husband & I stayed for 1 night (a Monday) in a 1 bedroom suite using 22k points.
CHECK-IN/OUT: Prior to check-in, I called to confirm our reservation & arrival time. Check-in took only a few minutes. We were assigned room #321. Check-out took 10+ minutes as the front desk representative was assisting a customer on the phone.
• Amenities: Everything you could need for an extended stay! Lots of closet space & a well-stocked kitchen
• Bath: Excellent pressure & plenty of hot water.
• Bed: Comfortable bed.. soft-medium firmness. (2) soft & (2) firm pillows were provided. The description says king bed, but my husband & I have a regular king at home. This mattress was undeniably smaller (in fact, it was too small for the bed frame). Regardless, it worked just fine for 1 night.
• Cleanliness: Excellent minus one small area next to the bed (food crumbs & plastic lid from previous guests).
• Cooling: Room stayed comfortable; however, the vent blows cold air directly on the bed. My husband woke up with a sore throat. I slept with the blanket over my head 😂
• Decor: Absolutely loved the bright, modern decor!
• Sound: Hotel itself is quiet, but Battlefield Rd was unexpectedly very noisy.
• TV: Plenty of channel & streaming options!
• View: An apartment complex & the main road.
• WiFi: Worked well enough for our cell phones.
CUSTOMER SERVICE: Friendly staff
FOOD:
• Breakfast: Grab 'n go with a hot dish of the day was delicious. We had sausage & cheese frittatas. I'd recommend putting a microwave in the breakfast area. The egg dish was no longer warm & the croissants were cool (I took them to our room to warm up). It would also be nice to have some plain water in addition to the fruit infused.
LOCATION: Fairly convenient & safe
Would I recommend/stay again? Yes, absolutely!
