We have stayed here a few times ans always enjoy it. Its close to things we want to do and the price is right. This time we came with friends and had a good time. The rooms we're clean and quiet and nicely decorated. This hotel offers pet friendly rooms and I must say our room smelled clean and fresh and we never heard any animals while here. The continental breakfast has changed due to Covid concerns so it was a few items that were grab and go. We grabbed yogurt and coffee and just ate a meal somewhere else. We had a good stay.

stayed here overnight had a great time. the room was so clean that when you opened the door to the room you were greeted with a great fresh smell. we were offered a grab and go breakfast, happy hour, clean swimming pool. will be back.

This LQ is a very nice property. The staff was helpful and able to answer questions, the room was large enough for 2 people (2 beds) and 2 dogs with their crates. There was plenty of grass to walk the dogs. The room was clean, and we felt comfortable at the hotel, especitally during this time of COVID-19.

I'm mainly documenting this to make sure I remember why I'm never going back.

1) Bad check in experience. If someone walks in alone on a cast, they are having difficulty and pain... They are having to travel alone under difficuties. This is NOT the time to break in a new check in clerk who doesn't know where all the buttons or what questions need to be asked and where the answers need to be filled in on the computer. This is a time to be very professional and get that person standing at the counter off their feet. Teach situational awareness, if you know it.

2) Double bifold doors for a main entrance? That don't open for a luggage cart? Who thought up that particular torture chamber? Try THAT on a walking cast someday.

3) Is there a legal minimum size for an elevator?

4) Is there award for the most uncomfortable mattress that this hotel is trying to win?

5) I've never been in a hotel room with no wall decorations at all. That money saved could have gone into front door and elevator considerations, or decent breakfast.

6) If they were actually cleaning the rooms after every guest, when I dropped my glasses between the bed and nightstand and reached to get them I wouldn't have come up with money in my hand.

7) Breakfast options are lactose yogurt, some kind of gluten option or a boiled egg, not even a glass of juice, no place to sit. I paid for this.

WOW, I am sorry that your experience was not perfect. I will address your bullet points. 1) We are training a new employee and I am sorry that the lead agent did not take over if she was having issues. 2)These doors were the best solution for the space given. 3)Not sure, but we did pass inspection when our hotel opened. First time someone has complained about the size. 4)Beds are funny, we get people that love them, hate them and everything in between. 5)We had recently painted the wall where the art was. We just got the shipment of new local art for all the rooms, should be up soon. 6)It must have been an oversight. 7)During these strange times we have a very limited grab and go style. I sure hope you won't judge all La Quintas on this one stay.

Perhaps it is unfair to rate a hotel on a one-night stay, but this dated hotel could not offer a peaceful night of rest. I was in Springfield for a business trip and chose La Quinta for their consistent high quality properties. However, the HVAC unit in my room did not work, I could hear the TV in the neighboring room and also every other noise through the seemingly paper thin walls and doors. The room itself was dated and the bed was uncomfortable. I've never been in such a loud hotel, and it was probably only at 20% capacity due to Covid. In the AM, I thought I would snap out of it by hitting the Fitness 'Center' and grab some hot breakfast that was promised. Well, the fitness room consisted of older, low-quality equipment and then had to wait 5-10 minutes for a fresh pot of coffee. The hot breakfast consisted of instant oatmeal. Wished I had selected a different hotel, because this property does not seem to meet the Wyndham standard.

I'm saddened to hear you had noise issues; we address all noise complaints we receive so our guests can get the sleep they desire. Yes, due to COVID, our breakfast is limited at the moment. We are regularly discussing ways we can improve it at this time to better meet the needs of our guests, so I apologize we did not have the buffet breakfast you were looking forward to. We have invested in several renovation projects over the past year, and have several others lined up to keep our property looking its best. I apologize again that your stay with us was not a more pleasant one, but do hope to have you back in the future to have the opportunity to serve you better.

This hotel is very close to the Bass Pro Shop and to several restaurants. The property is very clean. The rooms were spacious with beds and pillows being of good quality. The AC seemed to have trouble regulating the temperature in the room. They have continental breakfast each morning with a variety of items to take back to your room. Check in and out was very easy.

Enjoyed staying here with my dog, they were very welcoming and even gave my dog a treat. The hotel was very dog friendly, they had space/grass for my dog to walk around and stationary poop bags with garbage cans. Breakfast had all the necessary things, and it was easy to check in and check out.

This hotel provided a very pleasant experience for myself, my daughter, my step son and his wife. We had two rooms and both were clean and comfortable. Considering that they are following the guidelines of the city of Springfield thus not allowing them to have their normal breakfast, the "grab and go" breakfast that they are allowed to have was still fine for us. The staff was nothing but helpful and kind. I would definitely stay here again, and it could be possible because I travel to Springfield often. We are in the middle of tough situation with many things being shut down or limited so I believe we should consider ourselves fortunate that they are able to be open and provide a place to stay.

The hotel was clean smelled good. The property was in good condition and the staff were very friendly. We were traveling with a pet and they were very accommodating to our travel plans. I would recommend this hotel for anyone coming out this way especially traveling with a pet.

I did a lot of research before booking our stay at this hotel. The online comments about this location were very accurate. It is a very very clean hotel. I was honestly very surprised because it was really reasonably priced. And usually you sacrifice cleanliness and service to get a good price, but not here. I will definitely be staying here anytime we're in Springfield. The only complaint I had was that the shower head in the rooms we rented could use some cleaning. Aside from that, it was great.
