My wife and I stayed here over Valentine's day weekend and also celebrated our wedding anniversary during our stay! Myra was amazing and went out of her way to make our stay special! She also gave us a tour of the building and showed us some of the other rooms. Her and the rest of the staff are just the best! We loved exploring the building and the entire property during our stay! So much history and unique things about the mansion, we could go on forever about how much we loved it! We plan on staying here anytime we come to Springfield! Book here! You will not regret it!
Myra is very nice. If you are looking for a cozy vintage style bed and breakfast, this is the one! I loved the room I got (governors suite), and it was very clean. The Breakfast was very good and all the little things that they did to make this place cozy were perfect!
Myra was so friendly and helpful. The hotel has awesome ambiance. My room was one of the signature rooms. The outside of the hotel is so picturesque. My room was really nice and comfortable. If I am in Springfield again, I will stay here! A truly exceptional hotel.
My teenage daughter and I stayed here as an alternative to our usual beloved hotel chain - where we always know what to expect. The Mansion at Elfindale Bed & Breakfast was a risk for us because I am EXTREMELY picky. We decided to chance it due to the unbeatable price. WOW am I elated we did! The grounds and building are stunningly picturesque. The staff is beyond lovely (shout out to Samantha!), and the breakfast was exceptional. We stayed in The Chapel Suite and the beds were like sleeping on a dream. Away from hustle and bustle, we enjoyed our huge yet cozy room. The breakfast was not skimpy in any way - it was full spread and deliciously prepared. My only complaint is that this wonderful place isn't in every city we visit. IMO, there's no place else to lay your head in Springfield, MO. Bravo and thank you for the lovely stay!…
My wife and I had an incredible stay at Elfindale. Myra was a great host and went above and beyond to make our stay so memorable and peaceful. You can feel the history and appreciate the architecture while staying. Peaceful feel inside the city.
We’ve been staying at the Mansion since 1994 and it is still an awesome place to relax and enjoy. The staff was courteous and went out of their way to make us comfortable. The rooms are elegant and each room has its own personality and character. We particularly love the Tower room and the Veranda room. The breakfast was filling and the coffee was great. Myra and Samantha were tremendous hosts! I highly recommend it!
We were going crazy in our locked down city and had to get away. Haven’t been able to eat in restaurants or shop in person. Needed to get away from be no in our house for months on end! Perfect weekend. Great location. Great history. Myra was wonderful making sure everything was just right. Excellent.
I absolutely love this Mansion. Not only is the staff super friendly, but the ambiance and history of the place is not to be matched and perfect for your visit. I will definitely be back. I loved the O Day Room and would highly recommend!!!
Now that covid restrictions have eased in Missouri, we wanted a long weekend break. We stayed at this wonderful B & B the night we were in Springfield. The staff was friendly & helpful without being intrusive. The house is spacious and grand with an interesting history. When we booked the room online we had difficulty chosing which room, and decided on the John O'Day suite based on the large space, decor and antique 6 ft bathtub, If you are tall like us, you can appreciate the rare luxury of a tub long enough to submerge. Our suite had its own foyer and is decorated in a masculine style as it was the bedroom of the original owner. The bed was quite comfortable and breakfast was tasty. Our suite also had a mini fridge and a table if you wanted to bring a meal back to dine in the room. The mansion is in a church complex in town so it is like a historic oasis.…
We were in town for a wedding that was taking place on the property. The staff was very welcoming. We enjoyed the grounds tremendously. They took care of all the details and we had a great time with our family. Our room was spacious. It is a mansion from the 1890s so the bathrooms were not huge but we expected that and it was so much nicer and warmer than staying in a hotel. We will not hesitate to stay here again. The weekend breakfast was hot and had the basics but real eggs no substitute. The home itself is lovely. The period furnishings and stained glass windows were great. We enjoyed exploring the
