I looked at rate on website of third party for here and it was cheaper. Asked if they’d match or not. They said no which why wouldn’t you? I was tired and just paid it. Hotel under construction. Room clean but markings all over that hopefully it was due to be painted soon in the remodel. Room was supposed to be nonsmoking but smelled of cigarettes. No hairdryer as stated there should be.

Hotel is in the middle of a major renovation. Most of the lobby is under construction, with painters tape and missing trim everywhere. Seems that the top half of the hotel may have been renovated, as it is a different color.

Hotel is obviously a former Embassy Suites and has the nice open layout they're known for, but strangely the atrium doesn't have much in the way of seating and has no ambiance.

Okay, on to the problems. This hotel is VERY understaffed. Check in is at 3pm. We arrived at 4pm and there were no rooms ready because none of the people that clean the rooms or wash the sheets had shown up. Front desk staff were cleaning rooms along with someone else called in to help. There were apparently som rooms that were ready (I was listening in on the radio communications) but were waiting on bed linen. Customers were rightly upset and the staff was clearly at wits end, but they were still polite and helpful.

I was able to get a room after waiting by the front desk for an hour along with a half dozen other people. Other folks in our group (who elected to hang out in the bar) didn't get into their rooms for hours longer.

When we got into the room, you could tell that staff had cleaned it in a hurry. There were chunks of food (cookie maybe?) on the carpet in multiple places, two of the towels were obviously dirty (black charcoal like crust on one, a disgusting yellow stain on another). Bed sheets were clean and beds were comfortable, though.

The room's decor was fine and tidy enough, but there were things that obviously should have been fixed - the shower curtain rod was broken, the carpet was HEAVILY stained and unappealing, the toilet ran, and the air conditioner was noisy.

This room had no refrigerator, which is strange for something sold as a "suite". The laundry room was gross. I do not recommend that anyone stay here. It was dirty and frustrating. Stay at the Home2Suites that's about 300 feet from this hotel. That hotel is relatively new, clean, and much more comfortable.

Terrible stay very disappointed probably won't return. The first room I booked a "king mini suite" was extremely basic to the point of not even having a microwave. I could have dealt with this I don't mind eating cold food and they had a fridge. The TV not working however was a bigger issue. I called the front desk and they sent up a tech. The tech immediately recognized the room as one he had been in before and was unable to fix the TV. They moved me to a different room a "king executive room" they told me this one had 2 tvs and a microwave. It had 2 tvs alright and they worked well sort of. When the TV is turned on it is on a fuzzy channel you have to scroll through 2-3 fuzzy channels to get to channel one on the channel guide given to you upon check in. The remotes are very hard to use as in the sensitivity of the buttons requires them to be pointed directly at the sensor and you still have to push hard. You have a very limited selection of channels that are interspersed with no signal and not available channels. I know I am focusing a lot on TV but I was stuck here 3 days snowed in with no one to talk to. The room once again had no microwave. That is 2 I repeat 2 nonstandard rooms that did not include a microwave. There is no guest book with info about the hotel or anything if that sort. Neither room had extra blankets or pillows of any kind. Over all I am extremely disappointed and will not be staying here again. The staff was friendly enough but not worth a sub par room for above standard pricing. They have a sign up stating they are remodeling however I so no signs of construction and the issues I experienced are not construction related. They are basic expectations of a roadside motel and I expect a lot more from holiday Inn especially when paying for more than a standard room. I hope the management sees this and does something to make it right for future guests. This was a terrible stay... very disappointing.

We are currently updating our TVs as we have recognize some increasing problems as other technology advances. With the pandemic, we are limited on putting items in the room that can't be sanitized such as the Guest Directory. However, a microwave should have been in your room with your request. I'm a fellow hospitality professional in food service. Our purveyor, US Foods sent a case of dish detergent to this hotel when one was shorted on our delivery. When I tried to get the case of detergent that my company paid for, I was told that the food and beverage manager had gone home for the day and there was nothing that I could be done. I got our account rep on the phone, and the manager, Eric Vincent, was rude and dismissive. He left for the day while I was still sitting in the lobby hoping that someone would help me. I'm not sure why they were not more willing to help me. Our company has usually had traveling support stay at this hotel, but not any more.

JimfY8486UD, We did get a call from US Foods apologizing for us getting included in this delivery mix-up unrelated to our business. They also stated that they would call your organization an explain that we never received any of your product. I am happy to hear that the Guest Service Team tried to locate the chemical you were missing, but in fact could not find it since we did not have it.

We booked this hotel through a third party package deal. Exterior: needs painting, parking lot needs repaving. Interior: stale smoke smell, dirty feeling. Room in poor condition...un-remodeled room given to us with carpet peeling up, mold on window valances, smoke odor. They are in the process of remodeling. Had this been disclosed at booking , we would have selected another hotel. The front desk staff was courteous. Housekeeping didn't even put the duvet covers on the quilts. Lazy! The lamps were very dusty. Until the remodel is completed, stay elsewhere. Washing all of our clothes, even the clean ones to get rid of the smoke odor.

Room was acceptable and front desk person helpful and courteous. Lobby and breakfast eating area under full construction so pretty rough appearance and actual condition. Quite surprising that there was no advance notice of what to expect upon arrival. For most travelers arriving late in the evening it is nearly impossible to alter prepaid arrangement.

We just stayed one night and would have cancelled if we stayed longer. I made our no refund reservations a few hours before we arrived and was told at checkin their internet was down for a few days!

We then had issues getting into the room, had to keep putting the card in and out before it took. Our shoes were sticking to the bathroom floor. We finally put a towel down so we didn’t worry about being in there without shoes. Had trouble getting the room to heat up, we had it set at 78 at one point and for a hotel room, it shouldn’t take long to warm up, the fan was loud and cool air kept coming out. We finally just turned it off.

No free breakfast which I noticed other HIE offered in that city but we didn’t see it until it was to late. I did see breakfast offered, nothing was said when we checked in, but there was a charge and we had already picked up something to eat.. They need better lighting in their parking lot too, its a pretty dark parking lot. The best part was the bed, it was very comfortable.

I did mention to the front desk when we checked out about the keycard, bathroom floor and heater issues so that they can have someone check into it, but she never acknowledged it. This is the 2nd time in a row we’ve had issues with HIE. Even though we’re IHC members, I think it’s time to switch to another hotel group.

Room just plain dirty. No TV control in room at all. No fan in bathroom so all moisture stays in the whole room, it just makes sheets, etc. feel damp. Bug on the toilet seat. Curtains did not join in middle & were also dirty. Makes us rethink being a HI member. Had I had time to read reviews, would not have booked here but was last minute resv. Will definately stay at neighboring competitor next time but they were full. This is an old hotel & needs care, attention, & updating. Service poor. No one at front desk when we needed to check out. Thus no receipt & can't get it online yet as takes 72 hours for it to post.

Our room was clean and house keeping did a great job of keeping our trash empty and towels stocked. The breakfast buffet was great, we had breakfast rate room when we booked, so free breakfast coupons were given at check in. Shower water pressure was superb! Instead of small bottles, there are refillable bottles inside the shower. VERY bummed that the heated pool was very cold, we called front desk and the man seemed irritated by the call.
Overall our stay was fine, plant decorations on 1st floor are fake, wish they had a mixture of fake and real plants.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in some questionable hotels. First the service here is horrible. Front desk staff can't do anything because the hotel has no manager on duty. What kind of place runs a business with no one to handle issues that my arise? Our stay has been one big issue since the start. First when we arrived the room they gave us was not cleaned. We arrived 4 hours after check in too. They did give us another room, so that is good but the room should have been ready. The A/C in the building is horrible. The common areas are like very hot and humid. The rooms are not any better. Our A/C in our room didn't even work. It was set to 65 and never got cold. It was cooler outside and the temp outside was almost 90 degrees. The rooms don't even have refrigerator or microwaves. The owner ,at least that is who the front desk said it was, told his employees that we can't sit in a common area and eat. We are hear for a soccer tournament and the whole hotel is almost all soccer teams. We just wanted to hang out with our team and relax. Apparently that is not allowed. The "Owner" said we have to eat in our rooms or order from the bar. It like we are prisoner at this hotel. Only allowed to come out of our room to leave or if we spend money at the hotel bar. I would stay clear of this hotel and stay at one of the other nicer ones in the area that actually have free breakfast. This hotel charges $12 for a buffet that the same as the free breakfast hotels.

"Book through holiday Inn directly. Some problems or confusion with 3rd party. Never did straighten out problems, none of holiday's inns doing onreservations."
